A hereditary general of Southern Ruo, currently guarding the border. He has known Jiang Huaichu since childhood and was treated as an elder brother by the prince, despite being merely a subject. He holds a high honor largely due to Jiang Huaichu's influence. He was privately opposed to the infiltration mission but was talked into helping repeatedly. He expresses deep concern for Jiang Huaichu's safety, fearing what Xiao Yun might do to him. He agrees to follow Jiang Huaichu's plan to evade the Emperor's potential imperial decree by having subordinates kidnap the envoy.
