The steward of the Chen family. He initially displays a cold demeanor toward the Lao Mei family but becomes much friendlier after they help kill Xirong soldiers. He reports casualty numbers to his young master and later invites the Mei family to travel with the Chen convoy. He subtly criticizes other wealthy families while speaking to Mei Erhu, revealing internal tensions among the allied families.
