The sensory details in this chapter are absolutely incredible. Let me just start with the heat—"The weather grew hotter and hotter. Short-sleeved shirts and sleeveless undershirts could be seen everywhere in Jiangcheng, and once it became even hotter, many workers would simply go shirtless." This isn't just background description, it's worldbuilding that makes you FEEL the environment. You can almost sweat just reading it. And then there's the assessment room itself. A practical training classroom with a workbench in the center, wooden stools, crates of tools against the wall. Four teachers seated, visibly exhausted after a morning of watching kids fail. The cicadas outside are so noisy their heads ache. This is a world where manual labor is respected, where skill matters, where a girl breaking steel rods in three strikes is genuinely remarkable. The soda scene is pure sensory gold: "The orange soda shimmered with a golden hue, with tiny droplets of condensation clinging to the glass bottle." "A cool, sweet fragrance washed over them." "Hiss..." That sound of the cap popping, the white vapor escaping, the bubbles surging through the liquid. It's so specific and vivid that I could taste it. What I love most is how the setting reinforces the era. This is clearly a Chinese industrial town in the 1970s or 80s—factory compounds, technical schools, iron rice bowls, the movement to send educated youths to the countryside. The Hongqi Factory Technical School isn't just a location, it's a portal into a world where your skills determine your future, where a perfect score on a hammer assessment can change everything. The author doesn't info-dump any of this; they just let the details speak for themselves.
I cannot stop talking about the pacing in these chapters because honestly it's ridiculous how well-controlled it is. Let me walk through it. We open with a funeral investigation—murder mystery, high stakes, political intrigue. Then suddenly we're in a kitchen and Ji Changqing is cooking braised edamame. The whiplash is intentional and it works. The author uses the cooking scene as a pressure release valve after the tension of the investigation. Then we get the lyric exchange, which is both comic relief and character development. Then Princess Shouyang's gifts, which shift the plot forward. Then Fanlou, which introduces a completely new thread. And it all happens across maybe thirty pages. No dragging, no filler. Every scene does at least two things: it moves the plot AND it develops character. The transition from the Ji household to Fanlou is particularly smooth—we follow Feng Qingsui's thoughts about the hundred gold taels and then suddenly we're in a completely different location with new characters. And the chapter endings! One ends with Ji Changqing ordering surveillance, the next with Qiao Zhenzhen writing a trembling reply. Both are mini-cliffhangers that make you immediately want to turn the page. The author also uses time jumps brilliantly—'In the blink of an eye, ten days passed'—and we're right back in the action without any boredom.
vou iniciar ela agora espero que seja boa
Five stars because this work has great potential!Starting of from how I was introduced to this story by the author was impressive! The beginning started of great and set off the competitive mood between the characters! The author took his time to describe each scenes, mood and emotions of the character perfectly and each dialogue and acts of the characters were engaging enough for me to leave comments there and there! I love how the author is very creative with the chapter title naming and the world building is the book is first class! Watch out for plot twists! Plus the book having perfect grammar it is something I will definitely recommended to anyone to read!Great job author!

If you can't beat them, join them... Another shameless author here ?. if you're already here, then you might have well read the novel, at least try out the free chapters. Everybody likes free things? If you have any questions, you can ask them here, I promise I will try my hardest to respond to all of them. Now back to My Demon Lord Revival System, for starters, don't expect your typical MC, don't expect a guy you would fall in love with, the guy is a litteral Demon in the sense, so forget human empathy and all that shit as the story progresses.Don't expect your typical romance, honestly, the book isn't even romance, the romance part is mostly just S**. And by default, don't expect a happy romcom, this is the story of a maniac, I just thought you guys might want to know that.If you decide to read till the end, then wait patiently for the updates to normalise, I will always release two chapters per day, unless I come down with something, like as I'm writing this shameless review, but don't worry, it's typically nothing major. ? And oh, one more thing... Please make your presence known with a comment every once in a while, helps to keep the book engaging.
