I have to give massive credit to the author's dialogue writing because the voices in this passage are remarkably distinct and age-appropriate, which is surprisingly hard to pull off. Let me just highlight a few moments that made me stop and appreciate the craft. Xin Jinian's dialogue is perfect for a spoiled rich kid who's learned to weaponize moral language. 'The classroom is a sacred place for studying. How dare you, Fang Yin, lead such a commotion?' This kid is literally bullying someone and then framing it as moral enforcement. The hypocrisy is so natural—it's the kind of thing an actually spoiled kid would say without any awareness of how absurd it sounds. And then he quotes 'the hat must be worn straight' from the Disciples' Rules, which is such a specific, petty detail that it feels absolutely real. This is a kid who memorized one line of moral instruction and is now using it as a club. The other students chiming in with 'That's right! The teacher said the classroom is a place for studying the classics of sages' is chilling precisely because it sounds like actual children parroting authority. They're not evil masterminds; they're seven- or eight-year-olds who've been taught that following rules is virtuous, and they're applying that logic with the brutal simplicity that only children possess. Cheng Zi'an's internal voice is a completely different register—world-weary, calculating, darkly humorous. 'Would they still be able to play together properly in the future?' after Zhang Qi betrays him is the kind of deadpan observation that makes you laugh and wince at the same time. And his father Cheng Zhen's dialogue, even in brief appearances, carries the weight of someone who has mastered the art of saying everything while appearing to say nothing. 'Mr. Zhou, has my son been mischievous and bullied someone?'—polite, concerned, and absolutely devastating in its implications. The narrative voice itself deserves mention too. It moves between Cheng Zi'an's modern sensibility and the historical setting with a ease that never feels jarring. The TV drama reference is a nice touch—it grounds his internal voice in a specific cultural context without breaking the historical atmosphere.

The concept is really refreshing and I always enjoys a good bit of comedy in the novels I read. I will definitely be adding this to my library to keep up with it. This is definitely worth reading
This is funny asf. It hooked me. The mc screamed all my thoughts when I judged a harem novel.
Very promising, for those who are not afraid of the poison of labels. What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger.I give it 4 stars for the moment (up to chapter 4), but since I know there are many with emotional problems who don't know fiction from reality I have to balance the scales at 5.
I was barely keeping up with novels on this platform for the past few months. Only logged in every once in a while to check out the new novels before dipping again. This is one of the novels I found at such a time.Found this when it was first released and added it to my library and started reading it in earnest now that I am more or less back to reading on this platform. And it was a pleasant experience by no means. There are a lotta flaws in this novel that came to my notice, but mainly, it is boring. 50 chapters in, and the novel is completely chaotic. Too many things have happened at once, and too many characters have been introduced with barely any progression with the previously introduced. So far(50 chaps in), of the around a dozen named characters introduced, the only ones with any development is the MC and Evangeline. While I understand it may be hard to write actual development in merely a 50 chaps, it was not necessary to introduce so many chars either. The plot point with Amara for once, could have been slowly introduced instead of dumping it all at once with barely a few chaps in the novel(this is just an example, I am just saying the author could have handled things better). In the process of adding more elements, the author seems to have forgotten other elements. Like Celina, who barely gets mentioned every now and then despite the clear signs of her importance in the earlier chaps. While the author's ambitions are clear, his delivery clearly misses the point. The story is clearly too rushed. And most important of all, the power system. The MC describes a C-rank skill that makes some1 nigh-immortal. To put things into perspective, the holder of this skill wont die even if their head is cut off. The MC in his past life had to destroy every part of their body so they don't regenerate. All this, for a mere C-rank skill. And later on, the MC gets a free skill from the principal as a 'compensation' of sorts, for events that barely made sense(either because I was too sleep deprived while reading this particular part of because it wasn't explained well, not completely sure about that.) and this skill while incredibly strong(it can block any attack once) but has a very long cooldown of 3 months. While this may be a useful skill, again, no where close to the regeneration skill, it is far too underwhelming because of the needlessly long cooldown time. I mean, what use is a skill that you can barely use 4 times a year? All this is without even mentioning how the MC seems to have skills rained down on him, besides the SSS-rank(evolvable) skill he received initially. To my count, he has received around 7 or 8 skills already, and there is already ways set in stone for him to get even more. This brings me to my next point, the MC uses his skills to win every fight. This makes the fight bland and un-engaging. There is no fun in fights when the MC can easily kill them all with the single use of a skill(and it does not help that barely any mana is necessary to use skills).Despite all the negatives I have pointed out, I will prolly continue to read this since all the points I have addressed can be corrected with time. Hopefully, my fastpasses won't be wasted.
