I recall reading up to Volume 15 or 16 a few years ago and enjoyed it, which is why I revisited it. However, my current experience with Volume 6 has been quite disappointing. Here are some reasons why:
1. The main character, although labeled as the protagonist, lacks depth and agency. He doesn't express his own opinions and often gets pushed around, failing to defend himself or others.
2. The protagonist's hypocrisy is glaring. He claims not to want to help others because he isn't a hero, yet he frequently aids strangers and thieves in subsequent chapters.
3. His morality is inconsistent. He refuses to kill humans but shows little concern for the value of life when it comes to other creatures. He also fails to protect his friends from harm.
4. The protagonist rejects love from his partners due to their age, despite his own shota status, which is confusing and inconsistent.
5. He keeps his powers hidden, causing one of his companions to risk damaging herself to ensure he doesn't face danger alone, without informing them of the choice.
6. Side characters are unengaging; for example, Karina's presence feels unnecessary, and Lulu could be removed without affecting the story.
7. The protagonist squanders valuable skill points without thought, seemingly without regard for their significance.
A reviewer once said, "Have we accepted mediocrity as good, and mediocrity as bad?" It seems that, in this case, the answer might be yes.
A story needs both a compelling plot and well-developed characters. This novel lacks both. Characters should remain consistent in their beliefs and actions, but here, the protagonist behaves according to plot convenience rather than character growth.
In summary, the lack of character depth, inconsistency, and weak plot make this novel unsatisfactory. It doesn't meet the standards for a compelling story.

From what I’ve seen so far the translation is actually quite good though? At least from the manhwa onwards. I also checked out some of the recent chapters I’ve been stacking and saw no problems with them either.
I am a fan of this kind of storylines and I have read around 150+ stories with some altercation here and there so you can call me total sucker for such stories.This implies that most of the times I catch up to surprises even before they unfold here in this story is 2 surprise secrets that are to be unvailed from now.The first one for guessing that whoever killed Song Cheng and is after Song QingChun is form Song Household and most importantly I think this person is FANG ROU. I reached that conclusion in northern sea garden party chapter.
It's a good one but too short. If you're looking for something light to read this, is for you.
I know right. The novel was so so good, and there aren't many of those lately. I wonder if the author gave the novel to someone else to continue because I can't fathom how it changed so much in like a chapter
All in all I can say it's a good story... But it's a little too rushed at this speed even 50 chapters may not be completed and the mc will take his last breath... Although I'm a Bangali also but you were a little too pro-hindu which may cause disturbances in the future plot soo a mutual cultural exchange & development is needed... Overall very good novel... ?
