This tiny, almost invisible exchange — him handing her a handkerchief, her accepting it without fanfare — and it contains SO much. In their past life (or whatever this is), this kind of gesture would have been loaded with tension, with power plays, with her trying to read into every move he made. Now? She just takes it. Wipes the kids' sweat. Moves on. That's the emotional journey right there. She's not performing anymore. She's not trying to decode him or please him or survive him. She's just... present. And that's somehow more intimate than any romantic gesture could be. The breakfast scene though — THAT's where I lost it. Lin Shen asking "What about me..." like a neglected puppy. His wife and three kids all laughing at him. And his internal monologue: "What kind of sin had he committed to have ended up with these Three Kids?" But he's feeding them soup dumplings one by one. He's exasperated but he's THERE. He's not hiding in his study. He's sitting at the breakfast table being gently mocked by his family and honestly? That's the sweetest thing. And then the kindergarten scene — watching him hand the kids over to the teachers with that exact expression of "pure relief, the feeling of finally sending the little divine beasts back into their den." Su Sanxian laughing wildly in her heart. Two people who have been carrying so much weight separately, finally sharing a moment of normalcy. That's the CP chemistry I'm here for. Not grand declarations, but shared laughter over dropped-off children.
This is a very well-written story. It starts slow but never breaks my immersion in the first chapters, which led me to read until C13. I'll be back later for the fluff Ezra and Oberyn bring ;) Keep up the great work, Author (*u*)/

Finally the new novel has come. Author-nim I wish that this novel will also be a hit like the previous one. The plot looks great to me and the characters are exceptionally like the previous one it's got a lot of potential in it.
