In roughly two thousand words, the author establishes THREE major plot threads simultaneously: the workplace power struggle (Qian Yuanxin vs. Yu Sibai, the looming new boss), the esports subplot (ICG winning, pupu's championship wish), and the romantic tension setup (Ji Wenze appearing as both new GM and possible connection to Yu Sibai's idol world). That's not easy to do without feeling rushed, and yet it doesn't feel rushed at all. The biggest plot twist in these early chapters is honestly the simplest one: Ji Wenze showing up as the new general manager right after Yu Sibai almost gets fired. The author plays with dramatic irony beautifully here — we know Yu Sibai is Respit2, the anonymous streamer, and we know his idol is Execut2 (Card God). When Ji Wenze appears with that face that looks 70% like his idol, the reader immediately starts connecting dots that Yu Sibai himself refuses to see. That gap between what the reader knows and what the character knows? That's where the tension lives. I also want to talk about the Qian Yuanxin subplot. The fact that he's been systematically sidelining Yu Sibai — not giving him meeting notices, using his design fee as leverage, planning to pass over him for Design Director in favor of his own cronies — sets up a clear antagonist arc. But what's clever is that the author doesn't make Qian Yuanxin cartoonishly evil. He's just... a mediocre manager protecting his territory. More realistic and therefore more annoying. The championship wish setup is the plot device that ties everything together. Pupu publicly offering Respit2 a chance to confess his love for Card God? That's a ticking clock. At some point, these two worlds are going to collide, and the author is clearly building toward that moment. I just hope they don't drag it out too long — the first chapter's pacing was tight and I don't want to see it loosen.
OK the stakes in this section went from 'maybe she'll be okay at the Liu household' to 'she is bound, drugged, and about to be assaulted' in about three paragraphs and I am SHOOK. Let me be clear about what's at play here. External conflict: Niu Wenshan and Su Xiaomei are conspiring against Lin Aiyun. They've been watching her—Su Xiaomei while Niu Wenshan maintains his factory cover. This isn't random; it's calculated, patient, and deeply personal. The fact that Lin Aiyun went to the factory asking about him and it was Su Xiaomei watching her instead shows how thorough their surveillance is. Internal conflict: Lin Aiyun blaming herself. 'She was a fool too. If she hadn't let her kindness get the better of her.' That guilt is real and it's dangerous because it could make her freeze. But she doesn't. She assesses, she plans, she waits for her strength to return, she scans for escape routes. And when the moment comes—Niu Wenshan gets distracted by the debris in his eyes, Su Xiaomei rushes to help him, and Lin Aiyun uses THEIR DISTRACTION against them. She headbutts Su Xiaomei. She FIGHTS BACK. The stakes have never been higher—this is literally life or death—and the author makes it clear that Lin Aiyun is not a passive victim. She's bound, drugged, in a basement with two dangerous people, and she STILL finds a way to strike. The cliffhanger is perfect because we don't know if it's enough. Did she hurt Su Xiaomei badly enough to create an opening? Will Niu Wenshan recover? What about the kid—is he truly complicit or just trapped too? I need the next chapter NOW.

Author here with a very biased review of my book.This is my second attempt at this book, the first felt really rushed so I had to double down and start all over.If you are into a world filled with fantasy and technology and how both them relates with each other as the MC journeys to get over his trauma then this might be for you.I would really love to know your thoughts on it thanks.

An interesting concept. Here we have magic filled world and protagonist reincarnated multiple times and, as expected he is really strong. I also like the fact you can understand his confidence by the fact he knows too much to be too selfc-conscious.Also, he knows science.?
