Even Forester Chen's 'It's like they're turning into spirits' is such a perfect period-accurate reaction. And Lin Shuying's internal voice—she's the anchor. When she's thinking about tomato scrambled eggs from her past life, that's a whole different tone from when she's giving orders to Auntie Liu about hygiene standards.
