The dialogue in this batch is interesting because so much of the real conversation happens beneath the surface. When Liu Zhixia's mother asks whether she likes Zhou Yunting, the daughter's answer is carefully evasive: 'He's a soldier, his character is good, I'm not dissatisfied.' But her mother immediately calls her out: 'You only admire him. You don't actually like him yet, do you?' That's sharp maternal intuition. Then there's the scene where Zhou Yunting overhears this conversation. He says nothing. He just stands there and processes it. Later, when he hands Liu Zhixia breakfast at the station, he says gently: 'Zhixia, are you hungry? Eat some breakfast first.' That's it. No mention of what he heard, no confrontation, just this small act of care. The dialogue between Shen Hao and Zhou Yunting is also telling. Shen Hao says: 'Do you really have to put on that unpleasant expression?' and Zhou Yunting's response is to ignore him completely and focus on Liu Zhixia. The narrative voice itself has a nice rhythm—sometimes lyrical ('Three days passed in the blink of an eye'), sometimes blunt and direct. Liu Zhixia's internal monologue is particularly sharp: 'Not suitable... Not suitable...' repeated like a mantra. The author lets silence speak as loudly as words.
The author really knows how to build atmosphere, and the bar scene in particular is cinematic. Let me paint this for you: Wen Zhi gets dragged into a private room by two burly men, security guards doing absolutely nothing, and she realizes too late that this is Xu Purser's territory. The doorman who insisted Mo Tingyan park in the underground garage—'it's dark and has no other exits'—that detail is everything. It's a controlled environment, a hunting ground. Then you cut to the other room where Hao Xuguang is sitting across from Mo Tingyan with this 'lecherous expression,' pouring wine with a 'beer belly,' and the text describes Mo Tingyan's transformation: 'shedding the carefree demeanor he usually displayed in front of Wen Zhi, exuded an intimidating aura of authority. His sharp, menacing gaze cut like a blade.' The contrast between the two versions of Mo Tingyan—the soft one around Wen Zhi and the predator in this dark room—is visually striking. And the reveal scene! Wen Zhi bursting into Room 1 expecting the worst, and instead finding Hao Xuguang crouched in the corner 'completely naked' with a 'pool of blood' and 'two white teeth' on the floor. Mo Tingyan sitting perfectly intact on the sofa, legs crossed, looking 'completely at ease' with a camera flashing in the corner. The visual of this man who just got absolutely wrecked, trembling and naked, while Mo Tingyan is composed and in control—it's brutal and beautiful at the same time. The author writes scenes that feel like camera shots. I could literally see this as a drama.

I am confused if this is fantasy or fantasy romance? From how I see it the demon king is man, I even thought Olivia was the Mc at one point.The author has found her own way of pacing sentences, and it's relatively good, what's left is to fix a few grammatical errors
