I need to talk about the dialogue in this section because it is absolutely *chef's kiss*. The standout moment, the one I've already quoted to at least three people, is Su Erbao looking at Shen Jinsong trying to speak in a baby voice and saying: "Uncle, your voice sounds really strange. Did you get cotton in your throat?" I am not okay. This line is everything. It's funny, it's period-accurate (cotton as a metaphor for something stuck), it's devastatingly childish while also being wildly perceptive, and it completely dismantles Shen Jinsong's attempt at sweetness. The narration says his words "sting like needles" and he's left grinning awkwardly. Perfect. But the dialogue isn't just funny—it's character-revealing. Look at how each person speaks: Wang Lihua: soft-spoken, polite, always apologizing. "I'm sorry, comrade. My daughter is young and doesn't know any better." She's performing humility because she has to. Every word is calculated for survival. Su Dabao: direct, practical, already thinking about solutions. She tells Shen Jinsong their whole story—the eviction, the stolen compensation, the trip to the city for medical care—because her teacher told her to seek help from the police. This is a child who has been forced to grow up too fast. Su Erbao: sardonic, observant, internally ruthless. Her dialogue with Shen Jinsong is all deadpan delivery. "Uncle, you talk too much." "This guy is seriously childish." She's narrating her own life like a disappointed film critic. Shen Jinsong: earnest, slightly awkward, genuinely kind. His police-speak—"Protecting the safety of the masses is my duty"—is undercut by the fact that he's clearly just trying to be a good person in a world that doesn't make it easy. The narration even notes he finds Su Erbao's stern expression amusing rather than offensive. He's not threatened by her; he's charmed. The narrative voice itself is worth praising. It's close third person, bouncing between Wang Lihua's weary pragmatism and Su Erbao's sharp internal commentary. The author lets Su Erbao's voice carry the humor and the dramatic irony while keeping Wang Lihua's perspective grounded and emotional. When Su Erbao thinks about Shen Jinsong's future murder while simultaneously watching him make funny faces at her from outside the bus window—the contrast between her internal knowledge and the external scene is hilarious and heartbreaking at the same time. One minor critique: some of Wang Lihua's dialogue leans slightly toward the formal side. Her apologies to Shen Jinsong feel a touch rehearsed. But honestly, that might be intentional—she's a mother who has learned that politeness is armor.
Okay so I have to talk about how Chi Anyu is basically playing 4D chess with the plot while everyone else is still figuring out checkers. The scene where he's casually building an alliance with Qi You while System 07 is screaming at him to follow the plot? That's the kind of moment that made me laugh out loud on the subway. He literally says 'More friends means more paths' and I was like YES, that's exactly the energy. But here's what really got me — the hospital scene. I cannot stop thinking about it. Chi Anyu, a virgin, gets sent to a urology doctor because apparently he did 'it too many times' in his sleep, and the doctor is just sitting there with this deeply complicated expression. The doctor's final line about having two patients with 'excessive sexual desire' in one day? Chef's kiss. This book knows exactly what it's doing with comedic timing. The plot structure here is interesting because it's layering three different storylines: the political maneuvering with the Qi family alliance, the romantic tension with Xie Junyi, and Chi Anyu's ongoing battle against the system's plot demands. They're not competing — they're feeding each other. The more Chi Anyu tries to subvert the plot, the more consequences pile up. I'm genuinely curious where this is heading.
Okay so let me just say - this opening is ABSOLUTELY brilliant. I know it sounds dramatic but hear me out. The author takes something as mundane as a broken cup and turns it into the inciting incident that could literally change the course of a dynasty. That's not just clever writing, that's masterful setup. What really got me was how the plot pivots in Chapter 1. Lin Yuan transmigrates, gets sentenced to death, and instead of dying, she accidentally reveals she can read minds - or at least, Chongzhen can read hers. The twist of having the emperor discover her inner thoughts about Li Zicheng and Wu Sangui? Chef's kiss. That's the kind of moment that makes you immediately want to keep reading. And then Chapter 2 ramps it up even further with the court scene. Wen Tiren comes in with his three million taels proposal, and Lin Yuan's inner commentary about it being a Ponzi scheme is both hilarious and terrifying. But the real plot gold is when Chongzhen turns the tables on Wen Tiren and exposes the corruption. The pacing here is perfect - you go from life-or-death tension in the Nuange to political warfare in the court, and it all feels connected. The structure of having Lin Yuan as both comic relief (through her modern internal monologues) and genuine plot catalyst is working really well. She's not just a passive observer; her knowledge is actively changing events. That's when you know a transmigration story has legs.

**Review from Chapter 1 to 26** This novel is about Reinst who hated her life because her family is disappointed by her gender, weak mana, and dark attribute. In short, no one loves her so she just decided to become a cell donor to at least be helpful after she dies. Coincidentally, she dies later on that same day by a... meteorite (sponsored by God's idiocy). Reinst then reincarnated 7 years later as Lyra. She finally experiences the wonderful love of a family but she still has her fears because of her past life. She also gets troubled as she meets people she knew as Reinst especially her half-brother who got suspicious of her.I Didn't Even Want to Live, But God Forced Me to Reincarnate! (phew) is another reincarnation cliché novel but it has its own twists. It's really interesting and has its humor. I recommend readers trying this!I'm only having problems with info-dumps. The info-dumps are either (1) unnecessary, it's not really important to the plot (2) necessary but it's like a storm that points out all the infos in one shot. I might need the info given out but I don't need it now nor everything of it all at once. For example: the infos about different races.Apart from that, the author is doing really great! I'm looking forward to the chapters and your improvement! Good luck and have fun! (^_^)/
Really impressive for a system based story, I like the fact that it's a bit different from how system lays out in other stories. It's definitely one to read ?
Nice and beautifully written. I'm curious about the Silver Grimoire. Looking forward the trials and adventures of Lucius. Nice work
Love it! I'm not into these kinds of stories but I love the way you write this! and the plot intrigues me! keep it up!
Here is my review of The Fool AscensionWorldbuilding: The worldbuilding of this world for me is quite okay as the set up with the heart of ruin and the effect to the rest of the world. I also like there are group of assassins that related with the heart of ruin. My feedback for this, to give more detail description regarding the world itself to make it more fleshed out.Characters: So far the characters are fines and I quite like the dynamic too in here. The main character, Jarek is witty with his delivery. Lena is mysterious and love to give a good roast. Their dynamic between each others so far are interesting and fun to follow. As for other characters, they are okay for now, just needed to be fleshed it out.Writing: I like the writing is quite fast pace, but fine to follow. The action is so far nice too.Overall, if you like action, fantasy, and heist, I definitely recommend this novel.
we are up for a good start, it is engaging but I am hoping to see more intriguing chapters and fun chapters i love the storyline so I'm still hanging around
Great storyline, great action and the system is easy to understand! Will be reading more!
