Okay so let me just say this upfront: Qin Zelin is the most fun character to watch evolve because on paper he's supposed to be this cold, calculating CEO who just wants a nominal marriage to shut his grandfather up, but like three chapters in he's already doing all these tiny things that completely betray his initial intentions. Remember when Cen Miao asked if he could smell him again in the car? Qin Zelin says no, but then he's the one who sighs and says "Eat as much as you want" when Cen Miao worries about wasting money on food. That's not a man who's just playing along with a contract. That's a man who's already softening and doesn't even realize it yet. And Cen Miao! The way he views Qin Zelin as this new "Caretaker Dad" figure is both hilarious and genuinely touching. He's a zombie soul in a human body, desperately trying to act normal, and his entire framework for understanding relationships is based on survival instincts and the care he received in the apocalypse. When he asks "Why did you go by yourself?" with those misty eyes, Qin Zelin doesn't just leave him—he takes him to pack, carries the luggage himself, and offers to buy new slippers. The power dynamic here is so deliciously flipped. Qin Zelin thinks he's the one in control, the one who orchestrated this whole marriage for convenience, but really he's the one being completely disarmed by a guy who just wants food and someone to not leave him behind. The supporting cast is also doing heavy lifting here. The Driver and Bodyguard's internal screaming at every interaction is basically the audience surrogate, and I love that the staff at the marriage registration office immediately assumed this was a forced love drama. Their misreading of the situation is comedy gold, but it also says something about how these two LOOK together—sharp cold CEO and delicate pouting doll, yeah, the staff had every right to write that fanfic in their heads.

a author review after 20 chapters: id say if you give this book a try, give it till past chapter 20. that's where everything starts to get chaotic
Okay, let me give you a detailed review. the writing quality is amazing, it's too young to judge the story development. but so far yhe way of the slow development is pretty good. the few chapters for world background were present nice and its appreciated.Updating stability needs to be a little worked on
I need Mahoraga. Without him this novel will not be completed.
Oh my god, I was searching for copper, got hit in the face by diamond. This is the story I never knew I needed. What a well crafted masterpiece! I really hope to keep observing as the MC gradually falls and hopelessly accepts his grimm position, as in the lasts chapters he tries to burry his enjoyment of it. Keep it up author, this story is gonna pierce the skies!
Author here! Following the tradition, I’m shamelessly giving my book a 5-star review ?Soulbound is a Chinese-based fantasy story. What sets “Soulbound” apart from other Chinese fantasy tales is it’s different approach deviating from the traditional cultivation narrative. In the enchanting world of “Soulbound”, magic reigns supreme. This book delves into the realm of Mages (skilled practitioners of magic spells)The story is fast-paced, and the romance would build up slowly as the MC has a goal which he prioritizes over romance (at the early stage of the book)If this kind of novel suits your taste, then jump right in. Hopefully, you won’t be disappointed. If you have any thoughts or questions, do share them in the comments. I’ll make sure to respond.Thank you, as you read and support Soulbound ~
Best book I read so far this year. Keep up the good work.
Looking forward to reading more, Author!
wonderful piece this is ???well-done author ?
Witty and ruthless MC, I’m enjoying the variety of plot points. Unlike others cultivation stories where they repeat the same steps at each level, this novel keeps it fresh and engaging. I’m really looking forward to seeing how it progresses!
A captivating office romance with a twist! Aria's secret past threatens to upend her affair with CEO Nolan Crane. Suspenseful, passionate, and unpredictable - a must-read!
