This section is obsessed with the idea of performance. Su Qingqing deliberately puts on dirt, changes back into her old clothes, and crafts disappointment on her face when she returns to the base. Why? Because in this world, success makes you a target. "If someone managed to improve their situation through their own efforts, what awaited them would not be flowers and applause, but jealousy and resentment." That's not just plot observation, that's the thesis of the entire novel. Everyone is performing. Chen Xu's group performs normalcy while actually being fugitives. Qinglong performs authority while being a monster. Miao Suisui performs the role of a cheerful mayor while apparently running on a system. And Su Qingqing performs incompetence while secretly being one of the most capable people in this world. The dirt on her face is literal camouflage, but it's also symbolic—she's choosing to blend in with the struggling masses rather than stand apart as someone who has it figured out. Then there's the flower roll. That little girl tearing off a piece of half-eaten bread and smiling, dreaming of endless food and a tent that belongs only to her family. It's heartbreaking and hopeful at the same time. The dream of a safe place where children don't have to be afraid—that's what Hope Town represents, not just as a physical location but as an idea. The question the book keeps asking is: can you maintain your humanity when the world gives you every reason to stop? Su Qingqing's answer seems to be yes, but at what cost? She's protecting her family, yes, but she's also carrying the weight of everyone else's survival on her shoulders.
Let's talk about the conflict scene with Qi Xue because honestly? I respect Ye Qingyun's response so much. Qi Xue comes in hot—fifteen minutes of farm work had her hands rough and tanned and she's ready to explode. She's complaining about how Ye Qingyun's hard work is making them work harder, basically accusing her of showing off. Classic move. But Ye Qingyun doesn't get defensive, doesn't match the energy. She just calmly lays out the facts: without her, the pigs would've starved, she's taking them to a new patch, and if they need leave she'll help. Qi Xue literally swallows her anger because... she can't argue with that. Meanwhile Mo Qiuyu is just trying to keep the peace, and Ye Qingyun notices her stiff smile and suspects she's hiding something. This is such smart conflict writing because it doesn't create enemies—it creates complicated dynamics. Qi Xue isn't a villain, she's just an overwhelmed teenager who's never done farm work before. And Ye Qingyun sees that. The stakes here aren't life or death but they feel real because we understand the pressure these characters are under.

I have always wanted to read a fantasy world with queens ruling it. The way Anezka is trying to adapt to this new world makes me curious to know how she will unravel it ahead. It’s worth reading; readers, you will like it.
"Very detailed romance, the story is direct in its explanations and the universe, getting straight to the point from the second chapter onward. I liked it, I'll follow it!"
Being an author on WN is too Challenging. You can never get rid of your shamelessness and here, right now here's my review for my own book. I've worked tirelessly to craft a compelling story with a smooth pace, advanced vocabulary, and minimal grammatical errors, despite English not being my native language, and I'm grateful for your continued support. Also continue supporting me, your support is my courage.:}
