Okay so let me just say—this plot twist where Song Wanyue flips the script on Zhou Shanshan is genuinely chef's kiss. I thought I was reading a generic transmigration story but then she starts collecting debts and exposing secrets and I was NOT prepared for how much I'd love it. The scene where she confronts Zhou Shanshan about the ten yuan while simultaneously dropping the bomb about her unwed pregnancy? I literally gasped out loud. That's not just revenge—that's tactical genius. She doesn't just want her money back, she wants to make sure Zhou Shanshan NEVER dares cross her again. And the Gu family drama in the background? Perfect. Zhang Shufen faking a collapse by literally throwing herself at a wall—how is that not the most unhinged thing I've read this year? Meanwhile Song Wanyue is just standing there like 'yeah okay, cool, now about my ten yuan.' The contrast is everything. What I love most is how the plot doesn't just rely on one big revenge moment—it's layered. There's the Zhou Shanshan betrayal reveal (the original host was so naive, paying her two yuan a month to cook while Zhou Shanshan spread rumors about her), there's the Gu family property fight, there's the Gu Weimin situation with his illegitimate kids and Zhou Lanhua. All these threads are weaving together and I am HERE for it. The author clearly understands that good plot isn't just about what happens—it's about making you feel every single betrayal and every single moment of justice. Song Wanyue's backstory as an accounting major who worked multiple jobs just to build something of her own? That explains so much about why she's so ruthless about money now. She's not being greedy—she's being smart. And honestly, reading about her calculating her savings and deciding to buy an old hen to make soup in her space had me both laughing and crying. This plot understands its protagonist.
The pacing in this batch is genuinely masterful and I don't say that lightly. Let me walk through the rhythm: Chapter 22 opens at MAXIMUM tension—life or death confrontation, a hatchet embedded in a gate, someone peeing themselves from fear. Peak drama. Then immediately after, Ye Wuyou realizes she can't kill people and goes back to her room like nothing happened. The tension deflates so fast it's almost comedic. Chapter 23 shifts to domestic comedy—the chicken leg dispute, the bathing scene, the midnight outhouse pilgrimage. The author takes us from 'she might be a murderer' to 'she has diarrhea' in the span of three chapters. That's bold structural choices. Chapter 24 slows down even more with the porridge-making and the village work description, but then drops another mini-cliffhanger: 'Tonight, I must go to her house.' The chapter ends on a note of determination rather than resolution. What I love is that the author never lets the story sit in one emotional register for too long. High tension → comedy → intimacy → bodily functions → domestic planning. It's chaotic in the best way, and it mirrors how Ye Wuyou's mind actually works—never staying on one track for long.
Very good!! Please continue updating and keep it up.
A good domain. The book is great except for few errors.
Isn’t this a bit pointless since France would win anyways, even Paris wasn’t destroyed since hitler liked its art
It sounds interesting man! But at chapter 1 I got 2 points: Too much stuttering? and also mixing up the tenses, but that is not something necessarily bad. To me some just some of the sentences sound weird. Also it might be a bit confusing, but I guess that’ll solve itself when you continue the story. As a starting author myself, I must say that the story’s got potential man, so keep writing.
Is there romance in this novel? please no it holds back the MC
I hate memory loss arcs. But I know it’ll get way better! Hopefully my glorious ? THE BOSS continues to show why he’s the best written character ever. I love all your books so I know this is a automatic 5 stars!!!
Interesting take, but in real life or at least logical viewpoint his family is his biggest flaw and weakness. When you climb high enough in the ladder we call the “hierarchy” your enemies will try to bring you down. I like the your novel but I would just prefer him being cold hearted with no weaknesses to exploit, but it’s just me ?
Omo it's just starting but i love it already.
Words can't describe how amazing this book is, it's a shame I've discovered it after three years. The author really did a grt job I fell in love with all the characters and Aito's emotions were described to perfection???
the novel seems to be a fun and lighthearted adventure with plenty of humor, unique characters, and a very unconventional hero. It's perfect for readers to enjoy a comedic twist on the hero's journey.
