The scene where Bai Xiaotong leaves the cafeteria and Du Yun snatches her lunchbox saying 'I'll wash it for you' is just… perfect. It's so small and domestic and it paints this entire world in one gesture. This is a time when a man washing a woman's lunchbox was apparently the peak of courtship behavior and she just said 'alright, thanks' and walked away. The era is SO present in these tiny details. And the Cultural Center! 'Not at our factory's cinema, but at the Cultural Center. They have a new film.' This place is clearly the fancy venue, the upgrade, the place you go when you're trying to impress someone. Du Yun specifically chose it over the factory cinema, which tells you everything about how seriously he's taking this. The bus scene is also incredibly vivid—the crowded bus stops, the half-hour ride from the residential compound, the scarf adjustment, the way people just appeared and disappeared. 'In this era, transportation was either by bicycle or bus, and the bus stops were always crowded.' One sentence and I'm transported. The text doesn't over-describe but it hits exactly the right notes. Sister Zhang as a 'veteran employee in her thirties'—that detail alone tells me about the workplace hierarchy and how young Bai Xiaotong is in comparison. The small office in the workshop where Bai Xiaotong reads newspapers during lunch break, the window she peers through, the tree where Lu Ling stands—these spaces feel lived-in and real. The author doesn't need paragraphs of description; a few precise details and the world breathes.
There's something really profound happening beneath this seemingly lighthearted romance plot, and I think the central theme is about what makes us who we are. Lin Shen has lost his memory, which means he's lost his sense of self. But the story keeps asking: if you don't remember your past, do you still deserve love? Do you still deserve a life? Lu Jing clearly thinks so—he's been taking care of Lin Shen, making sure he's safe, driving him to work, cooking breakfast. But there's also this question of whether Lu Jing loves the man Lin Shen was or the man he's becoming now. The marriage certificates are such a loaded symbol. They represent a legal bond, a public declaration, something written in ink that can't be erased. But they also represent a relationship built on memories that Lin Shen no longer has. Are those certificates still valid if one person doesn't remember signing them? The text makes you think about this without being preachy about it. Then there's the condom box in the drawer—that's honestly one of the most brilliant symbolic details in these chapters. It represents intimacy, physical connection, the private moments between two people. Lin Shen finding it is awkward and funny, but it also symbolizes that he and Lu Jing have a physical relationship that he can't remember. How do you rebuild that kind of intimacy when one person has to start from zero? The Chiyun endorsement is another symbol worth examining. It represents Lin Shen's professional identity—something he earned through his own merit, not through his connection to Lu Jing. Brother Huang keeps emphasizing this: "We earned this opportunity entirely on our own merit." In a story where Lin Shen's entire personal life is built on memories he doesn't have, his career achievement is something real and tangible that belongs to him. And the car accident—that's the trauma that triggered everything. The text says it "activated [his] brain's self-protection mechanism." There's something almost poetic about that. His mind literally chose to forget because remembering was too painful. What does that say about the nature of memory and survival?

This was so good! Added it to my collections, I'm really curious how this will play out. The descriptions were well done and my only gripe was with some grammar errors, but other than that is was excellent! Good job!!
***POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT**so this book can be very entertaining but it's also very aggravating just be prepared The guy Is lied to and controlled by everyone throughout the book he doesnt cuck that many people in fact the title is mostly just a lie all the best and most anticipated dirty scenes are always cut and usually only shows the small ones most of which are shortened and rushed and the guy is a victim of everybody knows what's better for him than he does. all sorts of bad things happen too him and come to find out alot of the people closest to him knew it was all gonna happen all along time ago and pretty much planned it for his own good (if I had advice for the author it would be to lay off the everyone knows what's best for him routine alittle and make sure to really nail the most important love scenes)
Interesting sci-fi to read,it is abouts timetravelling
Good but needs improvement, he starts inventing in later chapters but not too late. Sometimes story is choppy, please take care of care, other than that it is pretty interesting.
The prose is engaging and fluid, though some descriptions could be more immersive. The premise is unique, and the pacing is solid so far. The protagonist is compelling, but side characters need more depth. The world-building is intriguing, especially the contrast between magic and non-magic users.A promising novel with a fresh take on the isekai genre. Worth following!
I donno anything else but the mc is fire man
highly recommendedmore updates please ??
Amazing ? Trust heesha to write the best novels?✨️
I like the mc and butler, but it's way too slow and has so much unnecessary dialog
