Can we just take a moment to appreciate how well-written the dialogue is in this section? Because I'm genuinely impressed. Every character has a distinct voice and the author doesn't waste time on exposition — the personalities come through in how they speak. Ye Shen's lines are all efficiency and dry concern: 'Told you I was fine. You never listen.' / 'Better safe than sorry.' She's the no-nonsense friend who's already seen through everything. Shen An's dialogue shifts depending on who he's talking to. With Wen Li, it's softer, more tentative — 'Thirsty,' when he's clearly not thirsty, that's a man who can't ask for what he actually wants. With Song Xingzhou, it's razor-sharp: 'No one is obligated to wait for you forever.' With Cheng Yu, it's petty and playful — refusing to give her a ride, teasing about her boyfriend chauffeur-ing her. The range is incredible. Wen Li's voice is probably my favorite. She's direct but not harsh, warm but not naive. 'You got accepted abroad and only informed me after you'd already left the country. You always put yourself first.' That's not an emotional outburst — that's a clear-eyed assessment delivered calmly. And then later: 'Neither of us is a love brain — he's selfish, and I'm clear-headed.' She understands herself and her relationships with clinical precision. Cheng Yu is pure comic relief with bite: 'Because my uncle is overprotective.' / 'My uncle is fine now. As a doctor, how dare you refer to a patient like that?' She's loud, loyal, and absolutely unhinged on Wen Li's behalf. The narrative voice itself is also really good — it has this wry, observant quality that lets you into the characters' heads without over-explaining. Lines like 'Shen An felt bitter inside. He wanted to rush, but where was the opportunity?' or 'His assistant internally scoffed: You seem pretty free to me' — these small asides add so much texture. And the humor! Shen An handing Cheng Yu her own untouched coffee cup with 'Take the coffee and get lost' while she flicks her ponytail into his face. The author clearly enjoys writing these characters and it shows.
Okay so I have to talk about this magical camphorwood box because honestly it is the single most satisfying plot device I have encountered in a long time. Shen Zhiyi discovers it basically by accident — she opens it and three bottles of Pepsi just appear. Just like that. No fanfare, no dramatic explanation, just *bang* there they are. And then she makes a wish for money and the box literally delivers a full box of era-appropriate bills. I literally gasped out loud reading that part. What I love most about this plot choice is that the author doesn't over-explain it. We don't get some lengthy lore dump about where the box came from or why it works. It just works, and that mystery is honestly better than any detailed explanation would be. The box gives her exactly what she needs when she needs it — cola for her dish, seasonings for her cooking, money for her future. It's like the universe itself decided Shen Zhiyi deserved a win. And the way the plot ties her magical advantage to her hard work is perfect. She doesn't just get rich and do nothing — she still has to invent the cola chicken wings, still has to deal with skeptical chefs, still has to prove herself. The box is a tool, not a crutch. That's why this subplot feels so satisfying instead of cheap. The tension between her keeping the box secret and needing to use it strategically adds this constant undercurrent of suspense. What if someone finds out? What if it stops working? These questions keep me hooked even during the quieter scenes.
Great book. Really enjoying it so far. I’m excited to read what happens with each new chapter
Very good, I really like it?Support yourself, hehe
First of all, a synopsis for the story would be a really big help for the story hehe. The story is actually good honestly. It’s well written, the emotions can be felt as you read it, and the characters design as well.
Love this story ?Great job author ? pls keep updating..
so like me, you also write using the first pov narrative... but this style is only meant for story with a nuance of comedy or to be exact, the English words should be casual and entertaining because the one that is speaking is the characters, not the author. Too much description is also a no no to this style.. why? because if you tell a story yourself, you won't yap about everything you saw right? However the content is interesting,, keep it up!!
Haven’t been this invested in a book or laughed this much in a while 10/10
IT'S REALLY CUTE AND I LOVE ITTTT ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ YOU SHOULD DEF READ IT. BUT WAIT FOR MORE CHAPTERS TO PILE UP...its funny and also kinda sad at some moments and actually talks about feeling sad and MC actually has a reason to like being reincarnated but he's smart but still silly
5 stars all across the board. This story has wonderful potential and would recommend it to anyone that just got here. Dear Author Please write more!!!
I was reading the other reviews and there are only 5 stars, I calle that BS hahaha, I'm pretty sure autor just delete reviews, anyway. The story is good and has potential, but there are so many loopholes, and stuff that doesnt make sense, like the Master being ONE of The SEVEN Saints on the continent and she couldnt even hold some grunts, like the father of The girl turning Bad just because the power of the plot so the MC could netori him...to mention some.In short, is it a Bad Novel? NoIs it a good Novel? not eitherIt's an OK Novel with potential, but You have to shut your brain down to actually enjoy it, recomended if You have nothing else to read and pass time.
