The dialogue in this chapter is absolutely filthy in the best way. Qing Ni's internal voice versus her external Divine Maiden persona is comedy gold: System: "I am the Favored Concubine System, not the Taobao System. According to the rules, I can't give it to you. We must abide by the law!" Qing Ni's internal response: "Before saying that, shouldn't you delete the line in the search bar that says 'How to smuggle items from different System Shops'?" And then there's the actual conversation between Qing Ni and the First Emperor, which is this gorgeous dance of power and manipulation. Every line has subtext. When she says "No guidance, but I do have a cup of fine wine," she's offering him a way to lower his guard. When he probes about the "Human Emperor" slip, he's testing her. Her response — "Since you have heard it, it means you are fated to know" — is perfect. She doesn't panic; she leans in. The narrative voice itself is fantastic too, switching between Qing Ni's modern, snarky internal monologue and the more formal, mythic tone of her Divine Maiden speech. The contrast is sharp and entertaining.
I need to talk about how this author controls tension because honestly it's masterful. Let me trace the pulse of these chapters. It starts with MADMAM XU WAILING. Maximum chaos, maximum noise. She's sobbing, the maids are frozen, no one in the main residence can sleep. Then—cut to Pei Ji returning to his courtyard, completely calm, ordering hot water, letting Shen Zhirou help him undress. The contrast is jarring in the best way. One moment it's a family drama explosion, the next it's this quiet, intimate scene where Pei Ji says nothing and Shen Zhirou talks herself into a panic. The pacing here is like holding your breath and then suddenly exhaling. Then Chapter 12 hits us with the morning after. Pei Ji doesn't sleep. Luo Fu doesn't sleep. She's waiting by the window like a devoted wife (even though they're not married yet), and he walks past her without a word. The coldness between them? I was dying. And then his mother blocks his path at the gate. More confrontation. More family drama. But it's sharper now—less wailing, more teeth-baring. Pei Duan appears drunk and disgusting, and suddenly the pacing shifts again into something darker, more dangerous. Pei Ji grabbing his brother by the collar, lifting him off the ground—this is the first time we see his full power, and it's terrifying. The chapter ends with him riding straight to the Luo residence. Chapter 13 slows down. Rain. Roses. Calligraphy. Maids arguing. It feels almost domestic, almost peaceful. And then—footsteps behind Luo Fu. Pei Ji appears. The pacing SNAPS back to maximum intensity in a single line: "Fu'er..." The author knows exactly when to speed up and when to let you breathe. And that cliffhanger ending? "Can you make your mot—" I SCREAMED. Absolutely unhinged.
I've been thinking about this noodle soup scene and honestly I think it's the most thematically dense moment in these chapters. Xu Zhizhi, who spent her entire previous life cooking for other people and never getting anything in return, is now cooking for Lu Yuchuan—a man who represents authority, investigation, and potential danger—and he's the one who actually appreciates it. He eats the whole bowl. Not because he's obligated, not because he's been conditioned to say yes, but because it's genuinely good. And for the first time, his sense of taste has been awakened. The text literally says: "Very few foods could arouse his appetite—he hardly felt hunger anymore. But today, seeing the simple noodle soup sprinkled with chili oil, he actually felt a flicker of hunger." That's not just about food. That's about what happens when someone treats her like a person instead of a function. The chili oil represents something—heat, spice, the ability to feel again. Both of them are recovering from something. She's recovering from a life of self-erasure. He's recovering from whatever trauma that mission left him with. And they find each other over a bowl of noodles. Then there's the symbolism of the house itself. The two empty rooms that Lu Yuchuan gets allocated—these are spaces that were previously occupied by people who were transferred away, and now they become a place where Xu Zhizhi can actually stay. The house represents autonomy, a place where she's not being squeezed out by relatives. But it's also under Lu Yuchuan's watch, which raises the question: is freedom possible when someone is always observing you? And the recurring image of Old Mrs. Wang's performances—crying, yelling, threatening suicide—these are the tools of emotional manipulation that have kept Xu Zhizhi submissive for so long. The fact that Xu Zhizhi now sees through them and just goes to sleep instead of caving is her arc in miniature. She's learning that the symbols of power that once controlled her—family duty, reputation, fear—don't have to work anymore.

There is a noticeable improvement in the plot and style of the novel compared to the early chapters. I will continue the novel from now on.
I haven't read the whole novel but the first 6 chapters exposes the plot of the novel without it's being laggy, filled with love and strong emotions between two mates. Not gonna say much because I don't wanna be a spoiler. But I highly recommend
Amei a historia e o seu contexto e o desencolvimento dos personagens.

This story is really fun and intriguing to read! Eli's carefree lifestyle clashes with the sudden responsibility of navigating a new world, making for an intriguing premise. I enjoy the combination of modern gaming culture and classic adventure elements; it feels like a new take on the isekai genre. Definitely a story with a lot of potential!
Writing quality is on point with mysteries that would leave you on edge and wanting for more . I bless the day I decided to start this book and great work author!!!!This is now my favorite book on this app ❤️
