Sniffle.
Under the hot summer sunlight a group of knights rided to the impact point of the meteor, it was likely the enemy should be near the zone if they were able to scoutthe enemy strength they would had done a great deed, the captain was aware of it, he was one of those who was a fan to the story of the previous Crimson Age an read a lot about it thinking about the day when he could engage in battle with such enemy, moreover from the records of the revious time he knew that when the enemy was surpass at fighting it wasn't like that when it come to pursuing or scouting as many people were able to run from it in battles.
Ethan's eyes went swimming for a second and his moves went slack, giving Mel the opportunity to begin her onslaught.
I need to talk about the midnight attack scene because WOW. We go from account books (boring, right? WRONG) to blood and steel in the span of one chapter and I was NOT ready. One minute Yu Sheng is interrogating accountants, the next she's dodging swords in the dark. The sensory details in this scene are INSANE. Let me paint it for you: dead of night, the sharp whistle piercing the air, the scent of blood hitting your nose before you even see anything, sparks flying from clashing blades illuminating Yu Sheng's face. This isn't just action — this is CINEMA. "In the darkness, cold steel glinted as over a dozen blades were raised high and swung down at her—" I actually stopped reading for a second. That ending! The chapter just CUTS off right as the blades come down and I was SCREAMING. But here's what really blew my mind — the iron cage mechanism. Yu Sheng had this entire trap system installed in Songfeng Yuan and her own BROTHER who lives in Yu Yuan had NO IDEA. "When were these mechanisms and iron cages installed in this courtyard?" Yu Xiuzhu asks, and honestly same, bro. The description of A-Mo is also incredible — standing atop the wall, blindfolded but seeing everything, broadsword resting on her shoulder like she just came out for a casual evening stroll. "I actually arrived too late. I had hoped to earn some silver from you, but who knew you'd handle all these people yourself." This woman is terrifying and I love her. And the Shizi's guards appearing from the EAVES? Like literally dropping from the rooftops? The worldbuilding here is so rich — this isn't just a household with corrupt uncles, this is a place with hidden mechanisms, professional assassins, shadowy figures on walls, and a mysterious Shizi who sends guards to help without being asked. The atmosphere shifts from a stuffy accounting room to a blood-soaked courtyard in one chapter and I am HERE for it.
"Jump! There is water!" Undine said before he looked at as all and took a running head start.

Finally, Eamon turned to the young man in the middle with fierce gaze.
"Amazing. I like you, Brother Eamon. But there are some steps you need to take before you take us on."
"Ahh ... Deputy Comman--"
Even until the moment of death, Ling Tian couldn’t figure it out.
