It is..And a very good one in fact! I have read this novel thrice and still cant be bored of it.
The first part, up until around chapter 30 or so, is excellent and humorous. However, after that, the plot becomes somewhat monotonous as the protagonist repeatedly defeats opponents without much challenge. The excessive patriotism starts to grate, not because of the love for their country, which is understandable, but rather because it makes other nations seem one-dimensional in comparison, always portrayed as inferior to Korea.
"Really? It actually has a distinctive plot. I almost skipped it due to the generic title, which is quite typical in horror books.幸亏我读了,这真是一本精彩的作品!"
Pros:
- The "enemies to lovers" plotline is captivating. The tension between the main character (MC) and the love interest (ML) is highly engaging, with a touch of chemistry that's swoon-worthy. The MC demonstrates resourcefulness as a magician, while the ML's charming personality adds depth to the story. What stands out is that the characters' personalities remain consistent even after they become a couple, without significant changes.
- The narrative arcs are intriguing, with the school-related arc being relatable and realistic, while the circus arc offers a darker, thought-provoking twist. It evoked such an emotional response that it made the reader consider dietary choices.
- The supporting characters are well-developed, which is a rarity in many novels. They contribute significantly to the story without overshadowing the main pair, and the overall tone becomes lighter towards the end.
- The ending and additional content provide a satisfying conclusion, solidifying this as one of the author's top BL (boys' love) horror picks.
Cons:
- There seems to be no major drawbacks to mention. The book is an enjoyable read, with each chapter bringing a delightful experience.
Overall, the pros far outweigh any potential cons, making this a highly recommended read for fans of the genre.
I am currently on chapter 89. I love the story so far. I saw 2 review previously recommending 2 more book that are related to this one. So I cant wait to read them all, the 3 are completed as well. So no interruptions and waiting for new upload.
Coiling dragon ring is probably one of the best cultivation novels I’ve ever seen, the power system clears every thing else I’ve read tbh

Firstly, do heather and "Jamie boy get to be together in the end.
Secondly, I used to think webnovel doesn't accept dark romance books
Thirdly, why do heather hate her father so much...

Chinese here.
In my opinion, this is one of the best novels ever. I saw some reviews complaining about that the novel is so boring and decided to give up. Well I have read more than 1700 chapters and I agree that so far it is literally boring, no doubt. But don't give up and stick to it please because actually the exciting part has not come and later the first excitement will come in chapter 230+. It's a story about a civilization which is suffering from the lack of energy and matter. That's not because of they wasted too much of them but due to their bad luck. Their planet is the only planet on their solar system and their solar system is the only one around hundreds of light years. You'll be shocked by how the civilizations tried to struggle, survive the frustration and how they finally got saved or elimated. This will also make you think about ourselves, the human race. Y'zaks in the novel once said, "I just can't understand you human. You have a perfectly beautiful solar system and rich matter and energy around you. You'll have much more opportunities than the unlucky ones. But you humankind don't unite together and even war for all kinds of boring reasons. That's not good. Why don't you keep peaceful and study the space and universe? You'd be one of the strongest civilizations in this universe. "
We should think about this.
