"Meat! Meat! Meat!" Her soul was screaming this every single day and the worst part is nobody else in that house could hear it. This is the conflict that keeps me up at night—not some big epic battle, but this quiet, creeping desperation of a half-Zombie girl who needs to eat human flesh to survive and her family is too poor to even afford wild vegetables with salt. The stakes are established in the very first chapter and they never let up. Hua Yun herself acknowledges it: "I had a feeling that if she didn't eat meat soon, she would shut down completely." Shut down. Not die, not collapse—shut down. Like a machine running out of fuel. And she's sitting there in a thin porridge diet watching her siblings protect her, trying not to waste energy speaking, trying not to let them know what she actually is. That's internal conflict at its most suffocating. But the external stakes are piling up too. The main household is squeezing the eldest branch—making them live in a manure-smelling back courtyard, controlling their food, having Hua Xiang'er torment the kids. Hua Lei's promise to beat up his own uncle if they interfere with the rabbit traps shows how desperate things are getting. Every small act of defiance carries the weight of survival. And then—BAM—the chapter cuts to an entirely different storyline with a man begging "Doctor, help me" and the Doctor coldly telling him that Hua Yun would have self-destructed if bitten by the Zombie King. Wait. WHAT? So Hua Yun from the original timeline—the one whose body this woman is now living in—was some kind of elite hunter who fought Zombie Kings? And she's dead? The stakes just skyrocketed and I am NOT ready for what comes next. This author knows how to maintain tension. Every chapter ends on a note that makes you immediately open the next one.

absolutely mind-blowing and captivating novel, Author?
I like this novel and it’s fast pace. I never imagine I will really engrossed in to the story as I am already in middle age group. I never skip reading the chapters too. I hope this light story won’t be heavy in the future.
the story is quite good but the plot is a bit slow, if possible you should speed up the plot a little so that the reader doesn't get too bored, but I give you my appreciation
Please read my novel! ?u200d♂️?u200d♂️?u200d♂️ I work hard on writing it ?u200d♂️
the book is a fun read up until the Grand scheme the it's became something else then the story stopped became stagnantto be exact 91 chapters still in the jungle.the Mc is still 5years old, the 2weeks grand scheme is no boring but not fun to read either the author overdid it too much it became tedious.the switching of characters to much that it can take more than 8 to 10 chapters without the actual Mc being in the picture only his schemes.overall this is a scheming novel through and through from the looks of it it I'll continue for a very long time readable though no doubt but to much schemes at some point becomes boring ? real quick.
I really like the characters and the fourth wall breaks from the MC. I like his past it reminds me of Re zero and Mushoku Tensei. I wish the upload schedule was a bit better though but keep up the good work man ?
5 stars for Xiao from Genshin Impact as the cover ???
