Let me tell you about stakes because this book understands them on a primal level. On the surface, the conflict is simple: a woman wants a divorce, her husband keeps delaying it. But the real stakes? They're so much deeper and so much more terrifying. Gu Anyun's internal conflict is devastating. She's a woman who has spent three years cultivating this icy, perfect exterior—micro-expression management, refined upbringing, calculated words—while inside she's screaming. The scene where she bites his neck after being unable to verbally resist? That's not just physical; that's the only outlet she has for everything she can't say. And then she has to compose herself and remind him about the divorce papers like nothing happened. The emotional labor of that is exhausting just to read about. Jin Chenyue's conflict is equally compelling. He's clearly obsessed with her—watching her sleep, stroking her cheek, that self-mocking smile when he realizes three years haven't changed her resistance. But he's also trapped. By what? Family expectations? His own pride? The fear that if he pushes too hard she'll actually leave? The stakes for him are just as high, even if he's the one holding all the power. And then there's the external conflict brewing—Teacher Wen, the charity gala, the in-laws arriving. Every new character feels like a threat multiplier. Wen Xinzhi isn't just a rival; she's someone who understands the power dynamics and is weaponizing them. When she tells the maid "no one may refuse," she's not just being difficult—she's testing the boundaries of Gu Anyun's authority in her own home. The suspense is maintained perfectly because we never know which conflict will explode first. Is it the divorce? The affair? The family confrontation? The story keeps all these tensions coiled like springs, and I am HERE for it.
if you drop this then you are............?
THIS. BOOK. IS. INSANE. (In the best way possible!) Not a single dull moment. I mean it. From a painful death to a rebirth during S*X (yes, you read that right!), this book is a rollercoaster. The FL? Witty, sly, and absolutely hilarious—watching her outsmart everyone is *chef’s kiss.* The ML? Cold as a damn glacier, paranoid as hell, but completely obsessed with her. And when I say whipped, I mean 'WHIPPED.' The comedy, the intensity, the tension—everything is PERFECT. The writing? Insanely good. Not to mention the author!!! I have read many of her works and they all were masterpieces! If you want a story that will keep you hooked, make you laugh, and still leave you gasping at the twists, stop scrolling and READ THIS. You won’t regret it!!!!
Its Author San here. I hope you're all doing well. The novel is a work in progress and I will edit a lot of things individually so expect there to be some, actually a lot of different changes. I hope you love the novel enough to add the book to your library and write reviews. In the end, I just want to have fun alongside you guys while writing. I am a college student, so I might not upload immediately, but I will write about 1 chapter a day for as long as I have my creative juices flowing.
I love my this story and the development of the Main character and support characters
To anyone who will be reading the story, I'll try my best to update every time I can. Thank you all so much, this is overwhelming to be honest. Lots of love to all of you.
This is the strongest and most enjoyable chapter in the story. Now it takes it to a historical curve. I really liked the strength, majesty and greatness of the new cosmic entity. I am excited about the rest of the events and I wish you a speedy recovery.
just like my goat fang yuan shin will continue to persevere till he changed.
This novel isn't bad, but the gaming aspect is a turn-off for me. I would prefer if the character simply went to another world or died and entered the game directly. Just playing the game feels boring because there are no real consequences—it's just a game. Smt like The Legendary Mechanic would be 10/10.
Me again, I just want to congratulate you on reaching your first 15 chapters
It’s a cute story that I enjoyed reading. The writing is a tad ham-fisted with all the declarations of intent - and the flow of the mini storylines seem to be missing something between the build-up and resolution phases, but overall a fun little read. I’m not a fan of stories that spend a lot of time with the MC adult trapped in a child’s body and so will not continue to read after ch 40 but the author has some great bones here!
liked the story till now , also i like the narrators humour. looking forward to how the story progress.
