Zeng Yumei is the kind of mother-in-law every daughter-in-law dreams about and I am HERE for her. Like, think about it—she limps over to greet her new daughter-in-law, offers her sweet sugar water because it's hot, gives wedding cigarettes to the delivery guy, hands out candy to the villagers, slaughters a chicken for lunch, and buries the chicken guts under the soil so the yard doesn't smell. This woman is a QUEEN. She sees Qiao Qingyan and her eyes just LIGHT UP. 'This is my daughter-in-law,' she says to the villagers like she just won the lottery. And later when she finds out Qiao Qingyan is a teacher? The envy in everyone's eyes must have been delicious for her. But the real moment for me was when she talks about Duoduo. She's so matter-of-fact about it—'she won't become a burden to you and Jinye, we'll divide the household.' She's already thinking ahead, already protecting her new daughter-in-law from having to carry this family alone. And Qiao Qingyan's response—'we're all one family now'—that's when I knew this woman had good instincts. She looked at this family and immediately sensed they were good people. Also the dynamic between Zeng Yumei and Li Dashun, the neighbor who helps unload? So polite, refusing payments back and forth. This is a community where everyone knows everyone and everyone helps each other. I'm already invested in these people.
Let me ask you something — when was the last time a novel made you genuinely worried about a guy becoming a Xiucai? Not because of political intrigue or life-or-death stakes, but because you somehow cared about this regular dude's educational advancement? That's what's happening here and I need to figure out why. The external stakes are clear: Tang Xun has one year to become a Xiucai or whatever consequences the System has in store. The text mentions ten taels of silver were already taken away for violating the System contract, which establishes that the System isn't just a helpful assistant — it's punitive. That's real stakes. But what's interesting is how the author layers internal conflicts on top of that. Tang Xun's relationship with his fatherhood is the biggest internal conflict. He's a reincarnated adult in a father's body, and he's figuring it out as he goes. The System literally has to remind him: "As a father, you should personally teach your daughter." He's not naturally parental — he's a guy who used to be told to give way to his younger siblings, and now he's the one in charge. Every interaction with his children is a conflict between his instincts and his intentions. Then there's the family conflict — the suspicion that his mother favored his younger brother. When Yang Taohua agrees to pay for Tang Li's school without hesitation, Tang Xun is genuinely surprised. This shakes his entire understanding of his family history. Is she actually fair? Was he wrong about everything? That's a conflict that doesn't have a clear answer yet, and it's making me want to keep reading to find out. The stakes with Tang Li are different — she's the one with the most to lose because she's the strategist. If her father fails, all her manipulation falls apart. But here's the thing that makes me actually care: she's doing this partly for him too. The System mission about not letting the eldest suffer? She triggered it. She sees her father's resentment about being the firstborn and she's trying to fix it. That's emotional stakes, and they're real.

One of the best webnovel i have ever read as it has no quick transmigration as in other story as it gives a reasonable plot for the reincarnation. Good author, I will follow your story here and abandon the other one. I hope you continue!...............................................................
Shameless author here (again).I think having written 100k words gives me the right to come here and do another review and answer some questions.I'm writing chapter 72 as I write this review and I have to say that the quality of my writing has improved a lot, mainly due to the amount of content I've read since I wrote the first chapter. Below I'll answer a few questions and tell you whether this novel is worth reading or not "Does this webnovel have harem?" No. I have nothing against harem, I've even written novels with harem, but Su Login's personality is more suited to a monogamous relationship."So is there romance?" Yes. Many people might be afraid of that, but the romance here is something more discreet and I'm developing it little by little."Does Su Login hate swords?" I've seen a lot of those comments. Some people hate sword users, others love them, so I'll tell you what is explained throughout the story: Su Login's spice is long-range weapons. He doesn't hate swords, but he prefers weapons like spears."Why is there some confusing information in the first few chapters?" Well, I published the first chapters and spent 10 months without writing due to lack of time, and when I got back to writing I ended up forgetting some small details (hehe). It's nothing too serious or that interferes with the reader's experience, but I'll do a revision to improve it."So, Is this novel worth reading?" Yes! Of course it is! Go ahedad and enjoy the story!
man the start was fire ngl I enjoyed it but later when the gods and pantheon nonsense popped up the novel's quality hit rock bottom. you could have introduced these factions at maybe mid or later part of novel. earlier you should have just dealt with protagonists like immortal emperor returning to past or something like that.
This shi- giving me whirlwind emotions and yessir this is *chef’s kiss* cooked well. It kept me entertained while being stuck at the traffic.
IF you guys are introvert then this is the novel your looking for this thing is so relatable
