"Some men were simply born with a 'cheap bone'—they didn't want you, yet they felt you shouldn't have any ties with others. Tsk, tsk." I literally gasped out loud when I read this. Su Wantang's internal voice is SO sharp and she is fully aware of what's happening between her and Zhao Xuanzhen. She's not some naive girl being swept up in romance—she's calculating, observant, and she sees right through his possessiveness. The dialogue between them is fascinating because on the surface it's this formal, almost stilted conversation, but underneath there's this entire electric current. Zhao Xuanzhen says "Come here" and she responds with this playful challenge about her palms being rough. He says her hands are rough and she just... bites her lip and glares at him. Then climbs on top of him. The power dynamic is constantly shifting and it's delicious. And Xu Jinnian's dialogue? When he's being arrogant about his paintings—"Five taels for a painting? Does he think he's the painting master Xu Daozhi?"—the author captures that desperate-artist-trying-to-maintain-dignity voice perfectly. He transforms from a temperamental scholar into a refined gentleman the moment someone pays him. It's almost funny how quickly he switches. The narrator's voice during the intimate scene is also noteworthy—there's this clinical yet sensual quality to it. "The heaving of Zhao Xuanzhen's chest was approaching the point of losing control." The author doesn't shy away from describing his physical reactions, which makes the scene feel more real than most romance scenes I've read.
I have been thinking about this 'Brewing Sauce Constitution' and what it really represents in the story. On the surface, it is this ridiculous novel trope - a woman born with an innate seductive quality that makes her irresistible to men. The original character's entire existence in the male-oriented novel was reduced to her body and her bedroom scenes. She was a plot device, a vessel for the male lead's darkest desires. But the transmigrated Liu Zhiheng sees this constitution for what it is: a curse. Every time she gets close to a man, her body reacts involuntarily. When she stands near Xie Tinglan, she feels this electric shock of desire that she has to fight against by reciting mantras. The constitution is a metaphor for how women's bodies are treated as objects in this world, how their very existence is reduced to their sexual appeal. But Liu Zhiheng refuses to be defined by it. She actively avoids physical contact with Xie Tinglan. She uses her knowledge of the original plot to navigate situations strategically. She is trying to reclaim her agency in a world that wants to use her body as a tool. The father's story is another layer of this theme. Liu Yigu is also used as a tool - first by the county magistrate, then by Xie Tinglan as a wallet and blood bank. His martial skills and business acumen are exploited until there is nothing left. Both the father and the daughter are trapped by systems that see them as resources to be drained. The transmigration itself is symbolic of escape - Liu Zhiheng escapes from her tragic fate by escaping into a different body and a different story. But can she really escape? The original novel's fate seems inescapable. The author is setting up a question about whether knowing the future is enough to change it, or whether the story has its own momentum that will pull everyone back toward their destined endings. And then there is the imagery of the river. The original Liu Zhiheng jumped into a river to force a marriage. Water as a symbol of desperation and transformation. Liu Zhiheng now stands near that same river, but instead of jumping in, she is trying to redirect the flow. What happens when the current fights back? The whole premise makes you wonder: if you knew your story was going to end in tragedy, would you still try to change it, or would you accept your fate? And more importantly, can a person really rewrite their destiny when the world keeps pushing them back toward the same script?
Author review! Here's what to expect:Two of the sweetest male leads ever. Give them a shot! They'll grow on you quick <3High fantasy world - MC swaps places with a villain, and ML is a fairy (Nephilim).Slow burn romance - but from the moment the two characters lay eyes on each other, they're instantly connected.High quality writing. No NPC behavior here - every character is layered, and has their own motivations, dreams, and secrets. No instant-OP everything. Magic and system unfold naturally and develops with the plot. (Eventually) some of the highest quality R-18 you can find. Deep, layered, emotional intimacy that advances their relationships - and is also - really - hot :DHave any questions for me directly? Reply to this review! I hope to make this story one of the top BL novels on WebNovel and that all starts with your support!
Dear Author,Though I haven't read all the chapters yet, but so far it's actually nice. I like the authors originality with his work considering how this is my first time reading with this kind of content, moreover it's not really as often you would find a novel where the MC is a father. I think this also adds to his character. Anyways I love it so I'm gonna finish the rest of the chapters now (u2060。u2060•̀u2060ᴗu2060-u2060)u2060✧Sincerely, Loki

Nice! This is very much nice. It’s a perfect story worth all of our attention.
Shameless Monarch(Author) here, giving 5Star rating to myself. I'm assuming that you haven't started to read it yet. Just give it a try if you want a OP mc :)
I thoroughly enjoyed reading the first chapter? The protagonist's dark past is truly heart wrenching, and the way it's written makes me feel like I'm right there with him, experiencing his emotions firsthand. ☺️The author has done an excellent job of crafting a compelling narrative that draws the reader in.?
The start is very dark and foreboding. It's not for the people who expect sunshine and innocent friendships and love. The start is gritty, the environment is ruthless and the value of human life is less than the blade of a grass. For dark , gore, survival theme lovers this is the best
I’ll read this in a few I’m on the porcelain throne rn but since it’s u frosty I’ll assume it’s gonna go hard
Well, I don't know if I should continue with this book anymore, Webnovel rejected the contract I applied for and it seems like no one likes it since it's not getting the support I thought it would, maybe it's time to stop writing ?u200d?
