Let me just say—the shrike scene is one of the most vivid, cinematic moments I've read in a while. A little bird perched outside the police station, making commentary about a sharpened hairpin being used as a murder weapon, comparing it to its own 'thorny dining table.' I literally laughed out loud. The image of this tiny bird critiquing human violence while casually mentioning its own predatory habits is both hilarious and deeply unsettling. "Wow, what a sharp hairpin. It'd be perfect for skewering meat." — and then it actually happens. The shrike's foreshadowing is dead on and I love that Su Zhisheng ends up feeding it beef jerky like they've got some weird bird-human treaty going on. The police station itself feels so alive—busy city street, nighttime pedestrians, the chaos of multiple groups arguing, the sudden violence at the entrance, officers responding with trained efficiency. You can see every frame of this like a TV drama. And then the contrast with the VIP hospital ward—quiet, private, Hu Xiuchun alone with her thoughts until the Su family crashes in with their performative concern. "Under the same moonlight, different people lived very different lives." That transition from Hu Xiuchun eating bland congee to Su Zhisheng getting milk tea and fried chicken from his roommate is such a sharp visual contrast. One person's nightmare is another's peaceful evening. The author really knows how to use setting to highlight inequality.

Hello great author, I'm a huge fan of your work! Your book left a lasting impression on me, and I believe it has the potential to reach even more readers. I'd be honored to share some thoughts on how to enhance its impact and visibility. Would you be open to hearing my thoughts?
Giving yourself a review is norm so let me continue. The story will be slow yet fast paced. My writing quality will improve with each chapter. The scenarios present are not for faint hearted who doesn't like violence or betrayal. It might be disturbing but ultimately realistic. I hope you all will love it. Also remember 'Kindness is not reciprocated here''.
Hey, Jallen here. This is a work that I had briefly published a while back on Webnovel and it's now back. The concept is a mix of Cultivation Online and Monster Evolution. So, if you are a fan of those books/concept, then you will surely like this book.Let me answer the common questions here.Q: Will there be romance?-> Yes, but it will take a while for it to appear. By my estimates, it will appear once we have crossed the 100 chapter mark.Q: Will the game world and real world mix?-> I am not sure about this just yet. However, the game world will have certain influences over the real world. I'll let you read so that you can find out more about that.Q: Will the Main Character evolve into a human?-> Yes, the main character will be able to evolve into a human in the future. However, it will take a long time and will be a long-term goal of Kai (the MC).I think that should cover most of the common questions. If you any other questions, just leave them below.I hope you enjoy reading this new story of mine!
I love the uniqueness in writing, especially the names, very creative! I'm onto the locked chapters next! ?
As I always say, system themed stories have a way of making any small flaw go unnoticed. I wish there was more focus on worldbuilding. Nevertheless, the writer does a great job at anchoring the readers interest. This goes to the collection.
Good job ? .
it is not anything amazing but it is well written and can be one of the novels u will find a good read and the author is trying to give a backstory and meaning to it
Overall a Good story. I sense there is still a lot more world building hidden and the character of Non human with couple of bloodlines brings a fresh breath in this genre. Hope the Author Drakal continues to make it more interesting. Grammar and structure is alright and the switch between POV is also not that jarring.
This author's work is always top-notch. Can't wait to see how he progresses this story.
very interesting and weird twist for a story plot.
