I need to talk about how this chapter controls its pacing because honestly it's masterful. The chapter opens with what feels like a quiet moment — Xu Songhe observing Qi Wuyang, thinking about his favorability increasing. This is the kind of scene that could drag, but the author keeps it tight with internal monologue and sharp dialogue. Then BOOM — the carriage arrives and the world changes. One moment they're in snow, the next they're in this warm town. That transition is so sudden it makes your head spin, which is exactly the effect the author wants. From there, the pacing slows to a stroll. A-Fang chatting, the pharmacy visit, the umbrella scene. It feels leisurely, almost cozy. But the author is planting questions like breadcrumbs: Why does everyone want to leave initially? What illness do they get? Why is there a secret room? Why does the statue look like a living person? Then the temple scene hits like a ton of bricks. The pacing accelerates — the man's story about the Medicine Immortal temple, the deaths, the panic, the tearing down of the old temple. All of this backstory comes at you fast, compressed into dialogue, and it's information-dense but never feels rushed because the emotional beats land. And the chapter ends on this perfect note — Xu Songhe crying, Qi Wuyang watching her, asking if she'd cry over a steamed bun. The tension between them is palpable, and the chapter cuts off right when it should. I need to know what he was going to say next. The structure here is: quiet setup → sudden shift → cozy middle → information explosion → emotional cliffhanger. It's a complete arc within a single chapter.
Okay so let me just say — the way this chapter handles the marriage plot is genuinely brilliant. On the surface it's just a newlywed shopping trip, right? But every little detail is doing double duty. Qin Xiao beating up Feng Gui in the opening? That's not just action for action's sake — it's him proving through behavior what he can't quite articulate, which is that he won't let anyone disrespect Qinghe. And then the marriage certificate scene hits you like a freight train. "The blue stamp bearing the character 'Liang' seemed to press itself not onto the paper, but onto her heart." That's the emotional core of the entire chapter right there. She's spent her whole life being used and discarded, and now there's an official document that says she belongs to someone who actually values her. But what really got me was the subplot about his family. Aunt Qiao casually asks about Qin Yue and suddenly everything clicks — this kid has been paying for his brother's education while getting nothing in return, and the extended family just... watches. No one stepped up. No uncle, no elder. The author doesn't even spell it out directly, you just connect the dots yourself and it makes you furious on his behalf. And then Qinghe's internal monologue about it? "Why was Qin Xiao the only one paying for it?" She's processing this in real time and it changes how she sees him. That's smart plotting — the reader learns about his backstory through her eyes, not through exposition dumps.
Shameless author Review Here, So You Guy can Use This to ask any questions That You Have.
I swear, if you'll read this book, it is like you are already in another world. Come and visit with Aliyah, she'll help us understand what is a fantasy world.
it is a good book written by a talented author. I commend on his impressive work.
pretty good all my homies fw it we ALL love ts fr ong no cap keep cooking ts not pmo gng you doing good
A novel with great potential. 27 ch of prologue is simply epic. It seemed like author gave too much info in it but he actually gave us more questions. Most broken and overpowered MC and System. The way system works is simple but also efficient. And also in the past 52ch MC had never dilly dalied when it comes to slaughtering enemies. He is a true devil who hates the entire world. So, it's worth the read.
Here is my review on Thread of Fates,Characters: For me the characters are the stronh point in this story. Ava is quite good female protagonist as she eager wanted to know the mystery and try her best to adapt woth her boyfriend, Noah's life. Noah is quite fleshed out character especially with the author spend the time to build up his revelation about his past. The author also paint Noah hesistation on confessing the truth quite well.Plot: I really like the plot is about the mystery about Noah past life that related to his criminal legacy. I enjoy the firsr few chaptera build up on the mystery. I also like the author alsp expand more the consequence of Ava learning the truth. Writing: Some of the description is quite fine. However, there are couple repetitive words and missing punctation marks that are easy to be fixed.Overall, if you guys like romance, I suggest to check this novel.
Though it's the beginning, I love the FL , she is rational and understanding. l like the fact that she won't just let her idiot husband trample on her. She deserves better, I hope she'd move on quickly. Awaiting for the upcoming updates
I'm excited to see how the author develops the characters throughout the story. Also, I'm intrigued by the author's use of language and storytelling techniques.
A beautiful and very well-crafted psychological and cosmic horror novel that shows us the true meaning of fear. It has literary and philosophical depth, even though the writer is still very young, but he combined all the elements that make a work of art. Complete it with success.
Honestly it's so good but my only problem is that the chapters are so short??
