I need to talk about one specific moment and I'm not even going to pretend I'm being objective about this. Haitang is walking back to the classroom after asking the teacher a question, and Zhang Xiaoxue bumps into her hard. She's falling backwards and — Su Ye's hand is on her shoulder, pulling her steady. His voice: 'Are you okay!' That's it. That's the whole scene. But I'm not okay. The way the author writes this, it's so casual, so natural, like Su Ye just... knows where she is at all times. He's right there. He catches her. He lets go immediately after, like he didn't even mean to hold on that long. And Haitang's reaction — she thanks him, she's composed, she doesn't make a scene. But inside? She's thinking about how familiar his voice is. The tenderness between them is so understated it almost hurts. And then later, when Haitang is performing for the crowd, crying those perfect tears, Su Ye is watching her with this expression that says he understands exactly what she's doing. He's not fooled. He's not annoyed. He's... proud? Protective? I can't even. The author doesn't write grand romantic gestures, they write these tiny moments that accumulate into something devastating. A hand on a shoulder. A concerned voice. A shared look across a crowded classroom. This is the kind of writing that makes you sigh and reread the same paragraph five times.
The worldbuilding in this text is genuinely clever because it takes the vampire mythos and drops it into this incredibly mundane setting—a second-tier humanities university in Jiang City where rich kids come to polish their resumes. The contrast is hilarious and effective. You've got this ancient bloodline hierarchy, barons and viscounts and blood thralls, and it's all playing out against the backdrop of students arguing over whether the campus beauty is looking at them or their big brother. The library scene is particularly vivid—the five-story building, the top-floor corner by the window where Su Lingwei sleeps, the way Lu Qing can feel her cold aura dissipating once she's asleep and she looks like “a lonely little girl who had lived alone for three hundred years.” That image just stuck with me. And the worldbuilding details are woven in naturally: the book Lu Qing picks up titled “Do Vampires Really Exist?” that actually contains truthful information about bloodline hierarchies and werewolf lore, the fact that Su Lingwei donated a hundred million to the school so she doesn't have to attend class, the whole “vampires hiding among us living ordinary lives” premise. The author isn't just building a supernatural world, they're building a world where the supernatural is mundane, where vampires are just another layer of society operating alongside humans. The scene with Brick—the werewolf with the forest scent, the vitality, the immediate instinctive rejection between the two races—really establishes the vampire-werewolf dynamic in a way that feels fresh. I love how the author uses the campus setting to ground all this supernatural drama.
Hey, Panda here.I’ve written 35 chapters as of this review, so I want to take some time to explain what the story really is about for people wanting to go in.First of all, there is no harem. There will also be no romance at all, so no Fl. That is not to say there will be no main female characters. The first volume will be a little bit bare in terms of characters since the main character is in a place that is more of a tutorial ground than anything. The others characters will be introduced once he moves further up the carriages, so if you want more characters, bear with me.The story itself should also expand to be more than just ‘kill monsters, get better’ in upper carriages. In a way, the first volume is just a prologue to the story, which I will keep as short as I can.For the ones curious what the spell the MC learns is, you must read the story to find out. I have tried to make it a not-so-generic spell like Fireball, so it should be fun. I can already think of a dozen ways to implement the spell in various situations.Anyway, enjoy the read, and leave any questions you might have below.Thanks.
Author here, giving a five star because i wrote the book and I'm proud, even though I'm not certain. Anyway, this is my second book since ISD and i hope it will do better than the it too. I also apologise for not continuing the book, and might continue later if it is demanded. About the characters, well all I can say is they are unique in their own ways, lazy, greedy, playful, unhinged, there are also Yanderes and Tsunderes. But No harem, I apologise for that too.Anyways, I hope you enjoy the book ^^
This novel is very wonderful, I advise you to read it ??
A good fantasy novel with more space for upgrade and need to speed up the pace of writing so that we can have more chance to read
It's an incredible novel! I really enjoyed the power system; it's fascinating. The world-building is well done, though the plot could use a bit more depth.
why don't he add points to his physical attributes he is making a weakness for himself cause of plot
i just can't help leaving a second review this book is absolutely amazing like, words can't explain how much I'm in love with the characters, the writer explain the emotions, tension and scenerio so well, i surprised the book is not popular, give this book a try guys, its really worth it. The beginning might not be what you want but it gets really interesting as you progress. what are you waiting for, go on and start reading ☺️?
A very nice wish fulfilment type novel ...and the system is very generous . not too overboard right off the start ..he has to work to get it ,but the rewards r generous. can't get enough of this .more chapters!!!!!!!!
