If you’re just reading the plot, you can skim the chapters and possibly enjoy. If you’re looking for a semi-intelligent mc, this is not for you. If you’re looking for original characters, this is not for you. If you’re looking for immersion, this is not for you. The mc will plan out what he’s going to do, then act surprised when it actually happens. The higher beings are generally stereotypical bad guys, callously looking at mortals as possessions (which is already found in a myriad of xianxia so not something that affected my rating)The amount of breaking-the-wall that happens takes you out of the story, and loses any seriousness it may have had. (Personally not a fan)In summary, a lot of aspects, especially character creation, are subpar. However the plot has its merits and could later progress into something quite significant.

Just as the author himself already stated, his English isn't very good... Especially his awful grammar makes it hard to enjoy this novel. Having an capable editor would instantly improve my rating of this novel.I am at chapter 69 and so far this novels seems to be a nice copy-mix of the standard transmigration/system/evolving monster/magical academy novels. You won't find much novelty here, but at least it's a solid mix of well known and liked themes. There have been some stupid cliché encounters and scenarios, but I still hope, that it won't go out of hand.If you are bored and don't mind ignoring bad grammar, this novel is recommendable.

I rarely post a negative review, but I was really disappointed with this novel. At first, I was very impressed by the MC and his story. I loved the idea that the friends of the MC were more powerful than him in the past and how they are sticking with their friend in the present. However, the author just kept ignoring some logical facts and forcing other *not so* logical philosophical explanations. The following are just 2 points I hated a lot: (1) for God's sake, when u use a chip to enslave a person, the victim will, almost, always be unwilling and vindictive towards the one who did it (this is more so in the case of criminals who are usually selfish) => the victim should rarely feel loyal to ur cause or happy to perform to the best of its ability => a normal enslaved human will always prioritize his freedom and try to sabotage and cause the death of his master in insidious ways; (2) I was not able to stomach the fact that teens are *directly* fighting a protracted guerilla war with veterans => if it was an assassination mission or some small scale battle where the army was tricked, the story would have been still enjoyable (but u rushed the side characters' growth a lot) => in a period less than a month, kids became colonels in an army just like that (and naturally like any good colonel they started killing innocents by the 1000s to spice things up)
