The best line in this entire chapter isn't dramatic at all. It's Mi Beibei's internal monologue about the door alarm: "She had bought it several years ago from a door-to-door salesman. At the time, she had mistakenly thought it was required by the neighborhood management, so she foolishly paid for it. Only a few days later did she realize she had been tricked. Still, she couldn't bear to throw it away. After all, it had cost twenty yuan." Twenty yuan. That's like three dollars. The fact that she kept it for years out of stubborn frugality and then it becomes the exact tool she needs to survive a zombie threat — that's not just good writing, that's almost poetic. The author is telling us who Mi Beibei is in two sentences: she's practical, she's stubborn, she doesn't waste things, and she's been slightly scammed by life and kept going anyway. The dialogue from the trading group is also distinct. Liu Jingming is formal and respectful ("Boss Mi"), Yang Xiaoyi is loud and pushy, Gu An'an is quiet and direct. You can tell them apart just from how they speak. That's a skill a lot of authors don't bother developing.
I need to talk about the kitchen scene. Just the kitchen scene. Because honestly? It hit harder than the entire Shenjia Village confrontation combined. Yang Tiehua goes home expecting to find food, and the storage jar is completely empty. Not a single grain of rice. No vegetables. Nothing. And her father tries to dodge the question like a man who knows he's been caught. This one detail tells you everything about what the original host did to this family. She was so consumed by her own desires, her own tyranny at the factory, that she left her parents' home barren. The original host didn't just mistreat Fu Ziheng — she drained her own family's resources and emotional energy until there was nothing left. And now the transmigration has given her a chance to fix not just her marriage but this fundamental brokenness. The brown sugar egg soup Mother Fu brings is another layer I can't stop thinking about. Two eggs floating in a bowl. A mother who remembers exactly what helped her daughter before, who makes it without being asked, who says "if it weren't for you and your family, Ziheng's leg might have been ruined for life." This woman is carrying gratitude and love and quiet strength in a single bowl of soup. Meanwhile the original host couldn't even leave rice at home. There's also the recurring motif of blood — first the fake blood from the staged fight, then the real blood that turns out to be her period. The author keeps playing with the idea of what's real and what's performed. Old Shen's victims were real. The factory politics are real. But the pregnancy was a performance that became terrifyingly real in Tiehua's mind. And now she's learning to separate what she imagined from what actually happened. That's basically the entire transmigration experience in miniature — she has to figure out what's true about this world and what's just the original host's legacy.
I like your story it's very interesting story
RAW????!!!!! Reading the comic now, but don’t know where to find the novel lmk!
I think this is the kind of book I've been looking for- one with the villain as the mean character. Thanks man. I am enjoying this work of yours. My favorite scene so far has been the rising of the dead- Farsi/ General Darklord rose from the pile of burning wood. Fu** man, that was fu**ing creative. I love you man- Yama-2
I love this book, the mere fact about how Op the mc is reason I love it
So I'm gonna start this off by saying the review will be about both the book and the author. I have read every book wrote on this platform so far and the author has always loved the cold, genius, highly intellectual MC type. The ones who use there brains more then strength. Over time we have seen our authors writing mature to show this in better and better ways. With this one being the best BY FAR. I believe the author has finally found the perfect fighting style for the type of MCs he likes. that being an assassin With every other MC the author has written there fighting style often required them to use brute strengths at times. With this one being an assassin fits perfectly as assassin's are horrible at face on fights. The MC is cold, highly intellectual, and emotionless. Which is shown in every fight and interaction the MC has. Working purely on logic and nothing elseThe power system is simple ( So far, as that can change as the book is still in the early stages.) Which i acutally think works perfectly for the theme of the story and is a nice contrast from a highly complex power system that the authors other book GA has.I don't want to do any spoilers. But the authors word choices for certin things and certin sentences are actually immaculate and convey something the author has conveyed in every other book so far much better. I truely believe the author has found the perfect blend for his writing style and I hope to see more books similar to this in the future and that it doesn't change for this book ad we progress. Best work yet. 10 out 10. Your missing out if you don't read it
expecting better than before and I hope you can finish it this time Really appreciate ur effort.
One of the best novel I've read in a while since a novel with a genre like this mostly end up as dropped cuz author has lost interest ( I really hope you won't br one of them) Btw I'm really looking forward to the interaction between mc and amyra and can you give a estimation of how strong she is to mc (since current she is pretty much the strongest right know in the same generation and and her backstory feels like mystry af )
The story is the best I like it so much the story development is really great and it’s very interesting I enjoy it so far please keep up bro
