The dialogue in this novel is absolutely chef's kiss. Let me just quote a few lines because I cannot stop thinking about them. Shen Xingyao: "You're such a scoundrel!" (after being kissed into oblivion) Pei Yanqiu: "And who started acting like a scoundrel first?" THIS BACK AND FORTH. The rhythm is perfect. She slaps him with no real force and he ENJOYS it. The power dynamics in their conversations are so well-calibrated. And then later: "Not asleep yet?" "N-no… not yet." "Then let's not sleep." Three lines. Three lines and the entire mood shifts. Pei Yanqiu's dialogue is sparse but every word carries weight. He doesn't waste breath. When he's nervous he stammers—"That… that thing, do we have it?"—and when he's in control his sentences are short and decisive. The voice distinction is crystal clear. Shen Xingyao's internal monologue is where the real comedy lives though. "What sin had he committed?" when he sees the intimate garment. "His once-proud hand speed was now entirely devoted to scrubbing her clothes." The narrative voice has this wonderful irreverent tone that matches her transmigration perspective—she's constantly commenting on the absurdity of situations while also being genuinely swept up in them. The humor comes from the gap between what characters say and what they're thinking. Pei Yanqiu says "Then… forget it" and turns over like a corpse, but internally he's burning with restrained desire. Shen Xingyao says she's a "decent person" while simultaneously planning to ask him to sleep in the bed. The dramatic irony is constant and delicious. The author's voice is confident and funny without being overbearing. Dialogue feels natural because everyone speaks differently—Shen Xingyao is rambling and self-interrupting, Pei Yanqiu is economical and precise. When they banter it crackles. When they're silent together it hums. Perfect control.
I've read a lot of web novels and honestly, most of them pad their early chapters with unnecessary exposition or filler scenes. Not this one. These two chapters move like a well-oiled machine and I have never been more satisfied. Chapter 1 is structured in three distinct movements. First, the workplace conflict — Yu Sibai vs. Qian Yuanxin, establishing the status quo and the threat. Second, the esports reveal — the championship stream, the secret identity as Respit2, the friendship with pupu. Third, the inciting incident — Ji Wenze appears, the new boss arrives, everything changes. Each movement flows naturally into the next without any jarring transitions. The stairwell scene is particularly smart: Yu Sibai goes there to watch the stream in private, but overhears the conversation about the new boss, which seamlessly bridges the two plotlines. Chapter 2 continues this momentum by immediately raising the stakes. Yu Sibai's fear of being fired (established in Ch.1) is addressed when Ji Wenze personally invites him to meet a client. The break room scene with the coffee is both character development AND world-building — we learn about Yu Sibai's team dynamics, his leadership style, and Ji Wenze's observational nature, all through a casual walkthrough. The cliffhanger ending is perfect. Ji Wenze says "I'll look around myself" and Yu Sibai watches him go, and the chapter ends with that lingering sense of mystery. Who is this man? Why does he look like Yu Sibai's idol? What does he want? If the rest of the novel maintains this pace — no filler, every scene doing double or triple duty — I'm going to be reading this until 4 AM again.

this book look interesting I am liking the introduction and the characters. looking forward to read more.
Really good Football fiction. Interesting concept of MC being Center Back. I haven't run into many of these and those I have are translated fics on the web. I appreciate the relatable MC who still struggles with uncertainty. Hopefully we get to see some national team action even if its the youth team as he develops. Would really like for this to continue and not be abandoned
Parece bem interessante mesmo! Uma mãe lutando para salvar o filho no apocalipse
I would like to say right off the bat this is a well written story despite only having four chapters. They know what they want this story to be and the characters feel real enough to have emotions for their plight. It has an old fashion Japanese setting. I can tell by their writing style this isn't their first rodeo and I am impressed with how vivid the descriptions are. I want to wish the author goodluck as they keep approaching this series.
Excelent novel!!! :)))))))))))))))))))))))
Reviewed for a FP. Hope it does well. ???
Nice work author keep up with the good works!!
Remarkable storytelling, supported by deep, well-developed characters, impressively thorough world-building, and a range of contrasting philosophical perspectives that open up intriguing future possibilities. Each character’s unique point of view adds layers of complexity, making the narrative truly stand out. But it has too primary characters making it almost like a series of separate short stories rather than a single, cohesive epic. While this approach broadens the scope, it may also mean that readers have to wait multiple chapters to return to a given storyline. The pacing is a bit on the slow side too. Maybe speed up the pacing and narrow down the primary characters or increase the frequency of the updates if possible.
