I need to talk about something that caught me completely off guard. This chapter is full of ghost marriages and spiritual contracts and supernatural threats, but the moment that actually made me feel something was the opening exchange between Qin Su and her cat. 'Su Su, are we going to make money again?' Qianjin placing both front paws on her knees, eyes sparkling with hope for dried fish. And Qin Su's internal calculation about how much expensive cat food costs? One box every three days being 'the absolute limit'? I wasn't expecting to care about this, but somehow the image of this powerful cultivator negotiating her cat's fish budget like a responsible parent was just... endearing. It grounded the whole supernatural chaos in something warm and real. Then there's the ghost's story, which I didn't expect to resonate with me but absolutely did. She's been wandering for who knows how long, refusing to move on, not because she's evil or vengeful, but because she's terrified of starting over. Of going back to the most stressful academic experience of her life. There's something deeply human about that fear, and the author handled it with more empathy than I expected. The ghost wasn't a villain—she was just a lost, lonely person who made bad choices out of desperation. And Qin Su, despite her tough exterior, recognized that. She offered her a path forward instead of just exorcising her. 'Why not find a single ghost you actually like?' That line showed genuine compassion underneath the threat of making her a cat snack. And Xin Ying's arc in this chapter—the way her friendship with Qin Su deepened, her embarrassment about wanting the bracelet, her genuine curiosity about the supernatural world—felt like a sweet subplot that added warmth without derailing the main story. The author doesn't force emotion, but when it comes, it lands. Even the brief moment where Qin Su felt jealous watching President Niu's extravagant declaration of love felt oddly relatable. It's not romantic jealousy—it's financial envy. 'Being rich was wonderful!!' And I couldn't help but smile at that honesty.
I need to talk about the tension in this thing because WOW. Chapter 1 opens with the protagonist tied to a chair, blood in her eyes, about to be forcibly dressed for a wedding she didn't agree to. That's immediate, visceral stakes. She's not just in danger—she's literally being robbed of her autonomy. And the author doesn't let up. Nanny Wang pulls an embroidery needle. Luliu is sobbing. The Marquis is outside screaming that she's getting into that sedan chair whether she wants to or not. Then Chapter 2 drops the SLAP. Not a metaphorical slap. A full-force, martial-arts-infused, grown-man-flying-into-shelves slap. The physical violence here is so well-choreographed that I actually gasped. And it's not just spectacle—the stakes behind it are enormous. If she fails, she dies. The Ninth Prince is rumored to have killed every previous fiancée. Marrying him is essentially a death sentence. Her father has already beaten her to suicide once. The alternative to fighting back isn't just unpleasant—it's TERMINAL. What's brilliant is how the author makes you feel the cost of her actions too. Right after she breaks free from the ropes, the text says: "This body was simply too weak. That single kick had nearly torn the muscles in her leg apart." She's a world-class operative in a body that can barely handle her. Every fight has a price. Every victory is fragile. That's what makes the stakes feel real—you're not just watching an OP protagonist stomp weaklings, you're watching someone fight with one hand tied behind her back (literally, in the first scene). And the father's threat about the nunnery? "I'll publicly announce that you've gone insane and send you to a nunnery outside the city to die." That's not a bluff. That's a fate worse than death in this world. No one comes back from those places. The Marquis has already proven he'll sacrifice his own daughter for family利益. The suspense is maintained perfectly because we never know if her next move will work. She could get caught. She could be overpowered. The body could fail her. Every scene is loaded with that uncertainty, and it's addictive.
Beautifully written, this is one of the best story I have read so far. Kudos to the author ?
I love this novel. And the things I like is the way it is written. And the thing I like the most, ohhohohoo.... is the chapter titles, I just love it.Don't get me wrong, I have read many novels to the point where how the story will unfold is already playing in my head, so what I do is, I skip reading unnecessary words, sentences, sometimes even a few paragraphs. But while reading this novel, I still get the flow of story accurately but the sentencing and the way of writing is way too much of my liking that I don't want to skip any words let alone sentences. In fact there are some instances where I scrolled and skipped a paragraph and I know what's written in it, but still went back to read it word by word.haaah... a very good work author, hats off to you
I would be lying if I didn't say haven't seen the first volume was inspired by The Greatest of All Time by the legendary writer Mujunel_the_Mystic, It showed that the writer still a rookie and was trying. But the Second Volume is Beautiful, the football made me shed tears. I love the Second Volume, writer please continue.
Your Author here, Aesn_kenny123, so I thought of giving y'all some heads up I'm changing the name of the story to "Rise Of The Celestial Beast Tamer ".Secondly, I don't not appreciate silent reading ,thanks with love your author.
I am really liking the story progression with multiple povs so far, this one truly surpassed my expectations.
The story pulls you in right from the start, with exciting twists and a main character who keeps you hooked. The world-building is vivid, and the emotions feel real, making it hard to put down. It’s definitely a fun and thrilling read!
Story is well written, and has quite a bit of future potential. Just remember this though, if you yourself, enjoy writing your stories, then that is the one thing that should matter the most more then anything else. Sometimes, it is not about any sort of money or payment, but should in fact, always be about enjoying sharing your work with your viewers and fans. And that, should always take priority, because if your fans and viewers enjoy reading your work, as well as potential future generations, then that is the one thing, that should matter more to you then anything else. For you see, people are more concerned in living in the here and now. While people me, we like to have a more, long game in mind. Now, don't take this as some sort of negative by any means, I am just saying, that if we want future generations to enjoy this world, then we have to be willing to protect what we love, in an effort to do our best to better our future.Your turn, and I look forward to what you think of my Going In Almost Completely Blind story.
It's only the first chapter and I can see the potential in itKeep up the good work

Interesting start with the first chapter itself starting out with amazing action. The interaction between characters were solid and the author had teased characters which looked really important in the story in a good way and revealed information without making it an info dump.A good novel ?
