The dialogue in this section is absolutely RIDICULOUS and I mean that as the highest compliment. Let me just quote a few lines because they deserve to be remembered: "Socialism is good!" — Qing Ni, presumably while very drunk. "A successor of socialism disdains lying!" — also Qing Ni, delivering this with the gravitas of a philosophical treatise. "You lack a Spiritual Root!" — delivered with the exasperation of a teacher who has been asking this question for three thousand years. "Tuition fee." — two words that carry more weight than any imperial decree in the novel. The voice distinction between characters is razor-sharp. Qing Ni's dialogue shifts between modern casualness ("See you later, classmate!"), ancient wisdom-dropping, and drunken rambling, and it all feels like the SAME person. That's incredibly difficult to pull off. The First Emperor's dialogue, meanwhile, is formal, reverent, and increasingly desperate. He goes from "Sir, you're drunk too" to kneeling and offering a priceless jade pendant in the span of three paragraphs. The snow weasel's internal monologue is the secret weapon here. Lines like "Yiyi is amazing—drunk and imitating other characters, yet seamlessly connecting it to real conversation" and "could it be using the Joyful Buddha's concept of 'using desire to overcome desire' to reasonably sleep with Qin Shi Huang?" add this meta-layer of humor that keeps the scene from taking itself too seriously while still advancing the plot. And the dialogue doesn't just entertain—it reveals. Every line Qing Ni speaks drunk reveals something about her true nature: she's confident, she's cunning, she's playing a game the First Emperor doesn't even know he's in. The weasel's commentary makes it explicit, but the real brilliance is that Qing Ni never breaks character. Even when she's accidentally revealing cosmic secrets, she maintains the persona of a divine teacher. That's voice consistency at a professional level.
I have to talk about the dialogue in this chapter because it's absolutely brilliant in a way that most authors never achieve. The child's speech is the standout. 'Medicine bitter, but good.' 'Wait till October, melon ripe, falls off. Keep covering it, won't come out, even good ones will rot.' This isn't just 'cute kid talk'—it's a narrative device that does triple duty. First, it maintains the illusion that she's actually three years old. Second, it allows the author to reveal a murder plot without any adult character saying the horrible thing directly. Third, it creates dramatic irony where the reader understands the full meaning before the characters do. But the real genius is in what the adults say to the child. The Marquis doesn't talk down to her. He asks genuine questions, coaxes her carefully, and when she says something disturbing, he doesn't dismiss it—he investigates. 'Oh, where did Sister Yuan hear Grandmother say that?' 'Did Grandmother say she wanted to give your mother fetal-protecting medicine every day?' He treats her words with the seriousness they deserve, even while pretending they're just a child's confused observations. And Yan Tingbai—his dialogue is almost entirely reactive. He's the audience surrogate here, the man who keeps saying 'Father, what do you have to say about this?' while his world collapses around him. His voice is frustration and helplessness, and it contrasts perfectly with his father's controlled, strategic calm. The dialogue never feels staged. Every line serves character, plot, or theme. And the child's broken grammar? Flawless. I read it aloud and it sounded exactly like a three-year-old who's trying her best.

Greetings, Readers! It's Vrega007 once again, and I'm thrilled to present my second web novel to you. What began as a simple high school story scribbled in the margins of my homework book years ago has blossomed into something far greater. At first, it was just a fleeting idea, a way to pass time, but soon, my plans for this web novel outgrew my notes on algebra and history combined.I've rated it five stars because, in a way, the main character reflects a part of me. Yes, it’s a bit shameless to admit, but I hope you’ll come to love the protagonist as much as I do. If not, I’ll take it as motivation to work even harder to win you over. And if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask. I’ll do my best to answer.
Hello everyone author here if your planning to read the book please leave a review here or in the comment section on what can i improve i upload everyday so commenting helps me to be motivated to write more chapter:)
