The contrast between the two worlds in this batch is *everything*. Let me start with the Beijing scenes — you've got the 2 AM fashion branch deliveries, the snack street vendors working nonstop because 'every minute lost was money lost,' the quiet streets at dawn with that dull Beijing haze. The author paints this whole picture of a city that never sleeps but also feels strangely empty at those hours. And then — flash — she's back in the countryside, staring at a dim thatched roof. The shift is so jarring it actually made me sit up straight. But the countryside scenes hit different too. The old doctor's room: "a simple room at the foot of the mountain, with just a bed and a table, the shadows of branches swayed under the moon outside the window." There's something almost cinematic about how the author moves between these worlds. The supply space itself is a world — she takes a bath in a large bathtub, changes into a nightdress, pulls out a small mattress from nowhere. It's domestic and magical at the same time. And the moonlight connection? "the space's changes had been linked to moonlight" — this detail keeps coming back and it's making me think the moon is going to be hugely important later. The imagery throughout is so vivid I could practically smell the steamed soup buns and feel the thatched roof above her.
The book was generic and boring because of how long the chapters are. However, it gets more interesting as the story goes on. Hoping to read more about it.
Good read. The book has alot of potential. There is subtle world building. You could see author, has a future vision. Unlike other authors who don't have anything where is story going.
A good survival story , I read the manga and wanted to know what happened in future, thank you for starting this book ??
Wow, the overall quality is on another level !
I’ve read just a few chapters , and although it’s not my genre, I’m looking forward to read more.
This novel pulled me in from the first sentence! The eerie, poetic tone mixed with vivid descriptions makes every moment feel immersive. The tension, mystery, and fast-paced action are so well balanced, I couldn't look away. The writing is gripping, and I can't wait to read more. Amazing job! :3
I give this five ⭐️‼️ Although, we’re still in the beginning of the book, it’s interesting and captivating enough for me to stay with the author to see how the this book will progress. So far, I’m loving the FL for not taking her husband’s antics. I just hope she’ll wake up sooner and give her husband an enormous kick in the arse and balls and teeny-weeny stick. And for her to never ever look back and move on to a better man.
Hey everyone, I’m the author! This is my first time writing, so I hope you’ll be patient with me. I’m open to feedback to improve and make this story as enjoyable as possible for you. Thanks for reading!
