'Meow~ Master, what does food taste like? Like engine oil?' I AM SCREAMING. The system is the funniest character in this entire novel and I need more of it immediately. Let me just lay out the dialogue highlights because my phone notes are overflowing: The system trying to maintain its 'grand mecha' image while stuck as a kitten: 'Meow~ I used to be a 1.8-meter tall mecha in the stars. Maybe because my energy is low, I can only take the form of a cat.' AND THEN 'I don't need gasoline right now, Master. As long as you collect favor points, I have energy. Energy is my food.' ...Bro, you just said you wanted to eat gasoline and now you're saying you don't need it? The inconsistency is hilarious. And Yun Shu's reactions are perfect. She's deadpan throughout. 'Eh? You want to eat gasoline?' 'So… will you always stay like this?' 'Are you male or female?' This question stumps the system—it was a star mecha, and they didn't have genders. I literally laughed out loud. The gender question for a being that doesn't have one. The author is playing with identity in the most casual way and I'm obsessed. But then the dialogue shifts completely when Yun Shu collapses. 'Master, are you okay?' 'I'm fine.' 'Master, you should go to the hospital. You won't be able to endure this pain.' The system's voice changes from comedic to desperate in three lines. And Yun Shu's response—'I'm fine'—while literally dying. That's her character in one sentence. She never burdens others. Even when she's dying, she says she's fine. The taxi driver's dialogue is also great. Very natural, very Chinese. 'Hey, what a coincidence! You two are going to the same place—just ride together.' The way he just assumes they'll share a ride like it's no big deal. And Yun Shu's clipped responses: 'Yes.' 'Thank you.' 'No need.' She's not trying to be rude, she's just... reserved. Guarded. Every short answer tells you she's not used to casual human interaction. Shi Muchuan barely speaks and that's what makes his dialogue so powerful. 'I'm also going to 28 Yulin Road.' 'I'll do it.' 'You're welcome.' Three sentences. Three sentences and he's already established as a man of few words who acts instead of talks. The contrast between his silence and Yun Shu's quietness—they're both people who don't say much but DO a lot. That's the kind of dialogue chemistry that doesn't need grand speeches.
Can we talk about how the author uses the noodle-cooking scene as a pacing reset button? You've got this huge supply run, Mi Beibei hauling boxes back and forth, organizing everything, cleaning her apartment, and then—bam—she's just standing in front of her fridge going "too many choices weren't always a good thing." And then she makes noodles. Slowly. With description. The sizzle of the eggs, the boiling water, the tearing of the pork trotter. It's a full two paragraphs of... cooking. And I loved every second of it. Because up until that point, the chapter has been RUNNING. Shopping, loading, unloading, cleaning, more organizing. The noodle scene is the author hitting the brakes and letting us breathe. It's narrative ASMR. Then immediately after she sits down to eat—KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK. Yang Xiaoyi is at the window again with his whole crew. The pacing snaps right back into gear and doesn't let go. By the time Li Yan reveals his spatial ability, I was fully hooked. The chapter structure here is basically: build-up (shopping) → peak (first trade) → breath (cooking) → escalation (team arrives) → cliffhanger (spatial ability reveal). That's textbook pacing and it works because each section has a clear emotional purpose. The only thing I'd question is whether the cleaning scene in the middle felt slightly unnecessary, but I guess it establishes that Mi Beibei is building a HOME, not just a bunker, which matters for the tone of the whole story.

peak writing, the writing style is really top tire it make you feel attached to the story and author sure have his dictionary for his words, the story is really interesting I can't explain much because I definitely would give some spoilers for how interesting is that, although it's a dungeon style story it's not just about dungeon but more to the interaction between all characters In it, it give me some horror~detective novel vibe too with how author describes the situation, idk why but I really have the mc vibe the same like the one from "I Was Mistaken as a Monstrous Genius Actor" plus "I’m Really Not The Demon God’s Lackey" honestly 10/10 for overall, keep it up author!!!!
