The dialogue in this section is absolutely delicious, but honestly the real star is the inner thoughts. The author gives us Mei Suqin's private monologues in brackets, and they are SO much more revealing than anything she says out loud. Outwardly she's all 'Oh Huanhuan, you're up. It was my fault the other day. Look, I brought Malted Milk Powder!' But internally? 'This damn woman, making such an outrageous demand, a thousand yuan! Even if I had a thousand yuan, I wouldn't give it to you. Aren't you the ones who gave birth to a daughter, you lowly wretches? You only deserve to be slept with by my son for free!' The gap between her sweet exterior and vicious interior is hilarious and horrifying at the same time. And Bei Qinghuan's dialogue is sharp as a knife. 'Out! I've already said it. From now on, our two families will go our separate ways. Don't make me say anything uglier.' No hesitation, no politeness, just straight to the point. Her interaction with Qin Zhenghua is even better. 'Who is Tao Su?' She asks it so casually, like she's asking about the weather, and the guy literally jumps to his feet. The author really nails the voice differences too. Qin Zhenghua sounds petty and defensive: 'You're always like this, you always have to have the upper hand! You're great in every way, but this is what makes you so annoying, so hateful!' Meanwhile Mei Suqin's voice is suppressed and bitter, coming 'in fits and starts' through the wall. And Bei Qinghuan's narration has this dry, wry humor throughout. When she describes Qin Zhenghua avoiding eye contact and giving off a 'petty impression,' it's observational comedy gold. The author's narrative voice feels like a friend telling you gossip—engaging, opinionated, and never boring.
There's this one moment — just one — that completely sold me on this world, and it's almost accidental. Jiang Ning steps through the main gate for the first time as a free person (well, relatively free), and she notices the plaque above has changed. It used to read 'Zhenbei General's Mansion' in bold, gold-inscribed characters. Now it's a common wooden board, poorly calligraphed, bearing just two characters: 'Zhang Residence.' That's it. That's the whole scene. No dramatic description, no narrator commentary about the impermanence of power. Just Jiang Ning noticing that the gate that once announced a general's authority now announces a guard's family name, and her gut feeling that it will change again soon. The author doesn't need to explain the political situation. The plaque does it for you. Someone lost power, someone gained it, and the physical space reflects that shift like a tide pulling back and forward. And the wedding atmosphere! The red silk ribbons, the double-happiness characters, the bridal attire being delivered — it's all festive on the surface, but underneath there's this cold winter wind sneaking through the repaired door, and Jiang Ning can't sleep, and Yan'er is crying into her makeup. The contrast between the celebratory decorations and the actual emotional reality of the people in this house is *chef's kiss*. The detail about the auspicious hour being set at dusk for aristocratic weddings versus midday for ordinary families — that's the kind of worldbuilding detail that makes you feel like you're reading about a real place with real customs, not just a generic ancient China backdrop.

Can't wait to read your book and celebrate with you!"
Really incredible story of enemies to lovers that has a bearable, perfect slow burn that’s quite adorable to read about! Characters are excellent, love the back and forth between them and how the small misunderstandings between them aren’t dragged out for years; everything is incredible and it’s one of the better Yuri novels I’ve read!Keep it up with the amazing story!
This novel / fanfic is average. Starting is not good with world building and very slow pace but he is trying to make it better in later half. This is story for those who like to explore different types of Pokemon worlds , especially in the old era. I have read some really great ones sadly they stopped releasing for some reason. You can skip some chapters also if you find too slow pacing will not make any impact in the story that much for earlier chapters.Author should rewrite them if he gets time.Release is also slow as if he works for 5 days a week.Author should like this review if you are reading it.
nice story i love it!i recommend all of you guys to read it.I am just waiting for new chapters.Overall, the story is very good and the way of saying it is also very good.
