The novel started off enjoyable, but as it progressed, the characters' behavior turned unnecessarily malicious. I couldn't continue reading when the protagonist, driven by jealousy, resorted to creating drama and destroying her ex-fiancé's life. Additionally, the interactions between the fake siblings were quite unsettling.

I recently read "Shanghai Fantasy" and I'm baffled by its low rating. If I could, I'd give it more than five stars just to boost its score. In the original story, the protagonist's biological parents abandoned her and took her brother abroad, while her fiancé's father still wants their marriage to proceed.
Regarding the issue of stalking, the ex-fiancé simply happens to see her occasionally since her new apartment is close to his workplace, not because he's actively stalking her. It's not until later on that she discovers his identity, as he's commonly referred to as "Fiancé" without his name being frequently disclosed.
The plot involving the main character, a transmigrated orphan, moving into a small apartment and renting out her luxurious villa for income is perfectly logical given her situation. She's aware of her new circumstances but hasn't completed the book, so she doesn't recognize familiar faces. This isn't a flaw but rather adds to the authenticity of her character development.
What I appreciated was how everyone around her noticed her changed demeanor, like her ex-fiancé recognizing the shift in soul, and others perceiving improvements in her personality. It showed that these changes were substantial and not a clichéd "Mary Sue" transformation.
Additionally, the character's imperfections were well-balanced, like struggling with her cooking business initially and exercising caution without becoming overly suspicious. This made her feel more relatable and realistic.
In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend this novel and rate it 7 out of 5 stars, hoping to see a higher rating reflecting its quality.
