Okay so let me just say — the author knows how to pile on the drama without making it feel forced. First you've got the goat producing milk right when they're about to feed Guai Nan fish soup, which is either a cute little omens thing or the author just really wants us to believe Grandma Su's superstition. Then Su Xiangdong goes hunting and we're left waiting. Then Su Jiu achieves Qi Induction and her body expels ALL the impurities at once — which is basically the most visceral scene I've read in a while. The black mud covering her entire body, the smell worse than months-old manure, Grandma Su carrying her through five trips to the bathtub — it's gross but it's also kind of beautiful because we KNOW this is a transformation moment. And then RIGHT AFTER that warm family scene where everyone admires how pretty Jiu has become, BAM — Su Xiangxi is carried back on a wooden plank with a blown-up leg. The pacing of disasters is honestly impressive. One moment you're feeling warm and fuzzy about the family bonding, the next you're holding your breath. What I also appreciate is that the plot isn't just random suffering — Su Xiangxi's injury connects to the family's poverty (he was trying to earn extra work points), and it sets up a whole new dynamic where the family has to adapt. Feng Qiulian's characterization is interesting too — she's beautiful but apparently did nothing around the house for years while Su Xiangxi worked double. Now that he's crippled, the story is clearly setting up some kind of reckoning. I'm curious whether she'll step up or fall apart.
Okay so I need to talk about Jiang Nan's absolute transformation because WOW. This woman went from being walked all over by the Cheng family to basically issuing threats like a boss. Remember when she told Mother Cheng about Cheng Hao? She literally said "one day I'll be visiting him in prison" and both Mother Cheng and Cheng Yixin turned pale. I literally screamed. They had just blackmailed her for money and she flipped the script so cleanly. And then the Lu Xiaoxiao moment—"Do you want me to dig them out and fix them?" CHILL. She doesn't even flinch. She just walks away like it's nothing. But what really got me is how she handles Cheng Denglin. She's not cruel to him. She tells him before leaving, "Take good care of Cheng Hao. I'll come see him at the end of the month." That's not a villain. That's a woman who drew a line and is holding it. She's protecting her son while cutting ties with everyone else. The fact that Cheng Denglin walks away in "quiet sorrow" tells me he knows he lost something real. Then there's the Zhao Rui reveal at the end—his entire backstory from a past life, investigating Lu Xiaoxiao, his son's betrayal... this man is a walking plot device and I am HERE for it.
It was a bit slow paced but I hope you fix it. It was pretty interesting so far. I like how phileo kept on watching her over the years after the incident. And I like the new character already!
Love it so far. (10ch in)
this is real good. The character development is excellent and the story is progressing so far is good. Keep it up
It's a bit too early for the novel, but i think this has potential. It's slow start with child mc with 27 year old mind. so expect usual pervert tropes similar to MT. Mc is a child so dont expect any smut from this novel for a long time which also assumes the fact that this novel would go on and not be dropped like hundreds of others wsa entry novels every year.I expect this to be pretty much a pokemon collection type of story because of how his system functions. so fair warning about that.Lore seems like something you would expect from high scale fantasy story but i with how things are progressing, i think most of the story will not have universe shattering stuff rather i expect jojo or jjk style fights.I am not much of a fan of kingdom building trops which is hinted to be one of the key factor of the story due to overlord of humanity ending requirements but hopefully it wont be sht. Also side note, these Lore abilities which mc gets are really whack ti say the least.
A slice-of-life reincarnation fantasy story with a focus on world-building and character development. I would appreciate it if you would at least try out the first 20 chaps before deciding on the novel and its content. I only plan on writing one webnovel this year, and this is it. So thanks for reading; I wish you all a good day.
Great potential, only complaint is the summoner is annoying as heck, other than that good world building and funny misunderstandings
With reading 3 chaps I know that this novel will be good and right up to my alley. And the pacing is fine too......this is good to pass time and with a splash of my favourite class Necromancer!!! I ask readers to read this one if you feel the same ?
Wow hooked just with two chapters and can't even wait for more , I hope releasing is everyday?❤❤
This novel is not for the faint of heart, but if you're looking for a steamy, addictive read, look no further. The story follows Christine and Adrian as they navigate a complex web of relationships and desires. The characters are well-developed and complex, with flaws and strengths that make them relatable and human. The romance is steamy and intense.Fortunately, the author provides content warnings and tags, allowing readers to skip certain chapters if needed.
I highly recommend the novel to the readers. The story development is fascinating, and the character design is excellent. That must be the most wonderful novel I've read.
