There's a reason this chapter feels like it's about more than just plot progression. The author is building a whole symbolic architecture and I'm here for it. The Dry Well. Of course Lu Ze'an's evil is centered around a dry well—a place where secrets go to die, where souls are trapped and silenced. Xie Sirou's family spirits are imprisoned there, and Jiang Yunxi is coming to break them free. But the well is also a metaphor for the entire story: Yingguo Gongfu itself is a dry well. Jiang Yunxi was thrown into it (metaphorically, then literally at the temple), and now she's coming back with the power to drain it dry and expose everything. The statue at the Marquis Wenxin estate entrance—placed directly opposite the main gate to ward off evil spirits. But here's the irony: the real evil is INSIDE the house, in the person of the master himself. The statue is a symbol of misplaced fear. Lu Ze'an is building defenses against supernatural threats while he IS the supernatural threat. That's not just clever; it's thematically precise. Then there's the imperial decree itself—a piece of paper that transforms two children from illegitimate to royal. The paper has power. Words have power. Jiang Yunxi's fortune-telling stall, the temple, the rituals—all of these are about making the invisible visible. The theme throughout is TRUTH REVEALING. The fake daughter exposed. The hidden children acknowledged. The murdered wife remembered. The suppressed spirits freed. "As long as you're happy"—the grandmother's line to Jiang Yunxi. Simple. But in a story about hidden identities and forced roles, that simple acknowledgment of someone's autonomy is almost radical. The grandmother sees Jiang Yunxi not as a tool or a pawn but as a person who deserves happiness. That's the emotional core the whole book is building toward.
love this book!!!
I just read the first chapter and even if it's enough to write a review I just couldn't read without say how the protagonist is interresting, many of the themes of this story will be insane I think
Ah, lust, that age-old sin that men (and women) can't seem to stop. Now, if you're an avid follower of me, you'll know that I would never recommend this to anyone due to the evil nature inside these pages. Ya know: devils, sacrifices, and rituals. Notwithstanding, Zexusgo seems to wish to refine their writing craft. Let's see if we can give him pointers. So the story takes place in this fantasy world that centers on betrayal, transformation, and some survival. Zexusgo employs LITRPG mechanics, so it's clear where this story is headed.Ishar (the MC) is basically sacrificed to a devil (Satanic) by his comrades, which is where his journey begins. Zexusgo does a great job pacing things; we'll give him that. I think it's due to the LITRPG aspect because his action scenes are interesting enough to understand.Do we like Ishar? Heck no. Haha. He's a little complex that struggles too much after transforming. That's good, though, because it allows readers to understand him more. I favour Kael more. That or Rudrik. So you better not slack off on them, Zexusgo. Here are the things to improve on: explaining the LITRPG system so readers aren't lost on Ishar's ability sets, a better background to understand why Ishar was betrayed, and better dialogue (since they seem forced). This is Akito, hoping those who are lost may come to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.
interesting to read and different from others.
it's actually better than it's looks, I'm just at chapter seven so I can't really say much but I want to say you're doing a great jobplease we need more Chapters
oh this story is interesting ?. ?I kinda feel guilty once my user name was laim.it's kinda heavy handed ✋️ storyline where I mostly life fluff but it peeked my interest.
please let this not be one of those completely romance werewolf books, you added demons so please let the action he brought out ok.
have yet to read it (as there are only 4 chapters out as of now lol) but I love the author and their other works and hate that the only other review is a one star from someone who says they "hate the witch that helps others (for free?)" like what? you read the synopsis, no? you should've known about that already..... sigh
Y'know when you realize that you've read every books that just calls out to you and now you're bored because you have nothing to read? Yeah, that's why this was created. This is my first novel so my bad if some parts are just confusing. And yeah, from synopsis this is FUTA. If that ain't your type of book this ain't either. To those that stayed, hope you enjoy your journey with our mc o(〃^▽^〃)o
Let's talk honest here! I am reading this novel from the starting, although the authors writes too many chapters in a day sometimes. But, I could manage it. I have read till the recent chapter and I could tell this novel is very good. The most intriguing part is everytime, something new is revealed. Even of the things, which MC possess, itself could create a good novel. And, from the name which the Author has I could guess, there would be more series. I am waiting for them.
