Interesting story indeed but it feels a bit slow but I can't stop reading it. More chapters please and upload regularly please. Thanks you for your hard work
Still in the early chapters but the power style and technique is very interesting. I’m looking forward to where this goes!
Good novel, a little slow but enjoyable?_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________
I need to talk about the sensory details in this section because the author is NOT playing around. The garden scene is so vividly rendered—I can literally see it. Wen Youan squatting until his legs are numb, the crowd of nobles doing forced labor, the princess not appearing. Then that moment when he finally sees her and the description shifts: 'his ever-increasing size' getting closer. The physical comedy of him running with a sprained ankle and immediately collapsing is hilarious, but then it pivots so sharply into something tender: 'A gnawing pain shot through her ankle, and the pine-like scent of the other person soothed the pain.' That single detail—the pine scent—transforms the entire scene from slapstick to something almost cinematic. It's intimate without being romantic on Shi Ruyi's end, which is exactly the right note. And then the contrast with Su Linjing standing 'in the center of the crowd' with that striking, venomous expression, clutching a handkerchief. The visual composition of that moment is so deliberate. Later, the Princess's Residence scene at night—'a sudden pull on her sleeve'—the shift from the public spectacle of the banquet to this quiet, dimly lit moment of personal confrontation. The author uses setting to control emotional temperature. The Lin residence banquet is loud, crowded, full of onlookers. The walk back to the Princess's Residence is quieter, more intimate. Even Wen Youan's home scene with his mother has this domestic warmth that contrasts with the court intrigue. The window letter scene at the end—her placing the letter by the window, waiting for it to disappear—creates this almost ghostly atmosphere. The world feels lived-in and real.

Honest review time! 1. Writing Quality is great. I didn't find any difficulty in understanding what author wants to convey. 2. Updates are stable. No issue there. 3. Story Development is fine too. I don't see serious issues there. It has a touch of mystery which has been handled quite well. 4. Okay, character designs have some problems. First of all, I don't know how Zachary and Odette look in general and how they look in different scenes. They are good characters, but they feel a little empty, of course, it could be due to author using two MCs instead of one due to which each of them didn't get proper screen time. 5. World Background has not been fleshed for now. But giving 5 stars because it is only the beginning. Overall, it's a good novel with engaging mystery and even depicts mental illness which only a few dares to explore
