It's quite an extensive review, as I spent ten days reading through all the chapters. I've chosen this novel as my comeback after a year without reading any Bai He or Yuri Chinese novels. First, I'd like to express my gratitude to the translation team, Little Panda, for their fantastic work.
The book revolves around revenge, intricate schemes, and romance, all巧妙融合在一起. Despite occasional plot developments, I find it well-structured. However, I deducted one star due to the excessive length of the "mutual pining" phase in Chapter 40, which felt拖沓 for me.
Additionally, I wasn't fond of the author's handling of Fan Wei and extra chapters, where Ye Youqing returns to the present and essentially replaces another Ye Youqing from the story, along with Ci Ke's actions. The continuity of their relationships and personal lives seemed to be disregarded, despite eventual resolutions.
On the character front, Ye Youqing impresses with her intelligence and strategic thinking. She's poised and caring, even stepping in when it's not her direct concern. Ci Ke, a tragic figure, showcases various layers of her personality, proving herself to be a brave woman who stands strong against adversity. I admire her resilience, akin to Aunt Zhou Ziqiu.
Zhu Ziqiu and Shi Li, the second couple, deserve happiness and are a shining example of loyalty. Many readers will likely resonate with Shi Li, a secondary character who见证s the entire journey. She's always there to support Ye Youqing and plays a crucial role. The Sixth Prince, Song Yi, is also noteworthy, often serving as a standout character alongside Shi Li.
In conclusion, the novel left me emotionally invested, especially with its heartfelt romance. I might revisit this book in the future. Enjoy your reading!
One of my favorite aspects of every novel lies in unraveling the characters' motivations. There's always a backstory, and occasionally it takes an unexpected turn, like in the case of Du Yunyan's seemingly emotionless demeanor. This book is a captivating read, and I highly recommend it. After finishing this one, be sure to explore the author's other work, "What Are Your Tastes," which I found equally enjoyable, if not more so. Kudos to Shanghai Fantasy for their outstanding translation.
So basically Mc is a person who loves reading books so much,
So much it's more like an addiction, so one day he gets a system that allow him to travel to different novels
I rate this story 5/10, I expected a story like magic industry empire w/o magic but kinda failed to deliver it. The one thing I hate about this one is that it's like the MC is living in Easy Mode. All his enemies are too DUMB and there's so many forced plots involved. If I have to be direct, the reasonings of this Author is too DUMB for my braincells to process. I'm not gonna elaborate more, to not to spoil all of you fellow readers. I have read around 240 chapters but this is it for me. I just can't with all of Dumbness and Stupidity involved.
let's go !!! continuation of high school dxd !!!
I remember this. What happened to this novel?
It feels less like an adventure novel and more like a how to guide on cooking Japanese food in another world. It's like 20% adventure, 80% cooking descriptions
Very good start, only at chapter 27, but I like it very much.
Why is the novel not uploading??
it's a waste of time purely Chinese , like going shopping getting mocked for dress and let others walk over him.
. ............................ A good novel ....
looking forward to it!!.................
