Okay can we just talk about Emperor Huiwen for a second because WOW. I did NOT expect to be emotionally wrecked by an emperor crying over a hairpin. Like, this man is literally the Son of Heaven and he's just sitting there alone in his study holding a jade-inlaid gold hairpin with plum blossoms, whispering to his dead wife. "A'jing, I miss you. It has been over a decade since you left. I have failed you." I literally gasped out loud. This is the kind of moment that makes you realize behind every cold political maneuver is a man who lost his wife and is terrified of losing his son too. The way he confesses everything — that he sent Nangong Li away to protect him, that he let the other princes fight so Old Seventh could benefit, that he's been playing the long game and it's STILL not enough — it's devastating. And then he wipes his tears and his eyes fill with killing intent. One second he's a grieving husband, the next he's a father ready to burn the world down. The emotional whiplash is incredible. What really got me was how vulnerable he felt. He's an emperor but he says "I, the Son of Heaven, cannot even protect my own son. As an emperor, I am a failure, an utter failure!" That line hit me like a truck. Here's this powerful man who can command armies but can't stop his own children from trying to kill each other. The hairpin detail is everything — it's not just a keepsake, it's physical proof that he still carries her with him every single day. And now his son is unconscious and he's probably feeling like he failed A'jing's memory too. I need a moment. Also, the whole father-son dynamic with Nangong Li is fascinating — the prince is out here getting ambushed and playing dead, and the emperor is over here losing his mind. The love is there but it's buried under all this political survival stuff. How much does Nangong Li actually know about his father's feelings? And what about that woman who cured him? The emperor clearly cares deeply but the communication in this family is... let's just say nonexistent.
I have never related to a character so hard in my life. Second Uncle Ling Yixi is genuinely the funniest character in this entire novel and I need everyone to understand this. The man wakes up absolutely BEAMING because he thinks he's won custody of Xiao Ling Bao for the day—only because all the other brothers are busy. His internal monologue about being the only one left to compete with Fourth Brother, the so-called "useless one"—I was wheezing. And then the kid literally ROLLS OFF THE BED to avoid his hug. Just drops to the floor and runs away. This is the same child who was clinging to Grandfather's sleeve trembling the day before! What changed? Ling Yixi is absolutely confused and his face when she calls him "Second Fool Uncle" and tells him he needs to "learn to walk on his own"—the humiliation is palpable. But here's what I love most: despite all this rejection, he's still trying. He presses the sink button for her, he follows her around, he gets intimidated by Master Huang but still shows up. He's genuinely a good person who just happens to be comically incompetent. Meanwhile, Grandfather carrying Xiao Ling Bao and shooting down all his sons' requests with "Dream on!" shows such a protective, almost possessive love. The line "This family has so many men—there's no reason we can't protect one little girl" made me genuinely emotional. That's the core of this family's dynamic—these men are fierce about protecting their treasure.
Let me start by saying the First chapter almost traumatized me like I was shedding tears for the MC to the point I wanted to just ??? the ML. My dear MC just suffer for something he didn't do and for him to steal love the person who killed even me couldn't do sure thing without getting revenge. Overall love the story and MC(so cute(●♡∀♡)).

I wasn't into a system theme, but the author made me. Loved how descriptive his writing skills are! I don't know if it's his writing or my imagination has gotten better, but damn! it didn't feel anything like reading a book. It felt like watching a movie. Hats off to the author for this one!!
It's been stalled for a long time but I'm glad you're continuing. it's nice that you renewed the story, I hope your story will become more stable.
