Good novel, but I would really like if the author focus on other side character, but apart from that, the book is really nice, I highly recommend it

I need to talk about the carriage scene because this is where the entire dynamic between Xue Ning and Su Zhan shifts in the most delicious way. Let's be real — in her previous life, Xue Ning literally racked her brains trying to get close to him. Now? She's doing everything in her power to escape him and keeps running into him anyway. The irony is almost comical, but it's also kind of tragic because she genuinely doesn't want this. She told herself she'd completely severed ties with him in her heart. And yet here she is, falling asleep in his arms, and the narrative doesn't even let us forget the physical reality of that moment. She accidentally touches him, he grits his teeth and says her name like a warning, and she scrambles away like she's been burned. But then — and this is the part that got me — the text literally says: "That restlessness and heat had been stirred by that soft little hand." Su Zhan is the one who's affected. He's the one sitting there questioning whether she did it intentionally to seduce him, whether all her claims of wanting to stay away were lies. The man who accused her of scheming is now the one losing sleep over a girl who genuinely just wants to avoid him. Meanwhile, Xue Ning is over here thinking about how terrifying he can be when he's angry, while he's over here replaying a two-second accidental touch like it's a crisis. Their relationship is this beautiful disaster where neither person sees the other clearly. She thinks he's a predator; he thinks she's a manipulator. And the tragedy is that both of them are wrong, and the reader knows it. I'm not okay with this.
