Can we talk about the system's voice for a second? Because "Heheda" is honestly one of the funniest touches in the entire novel. This omnipotent survival system that's supposed to be serious and imposing just... scoffs at Cheng Lin's hoarding. "Heheda, is the apocalypse coming early?" "Heheda, I should have three lottery gift boxes, right?" "Heheda, take the fitness pill and beauty pill." It's like having a snarky roommate who also happens to control your fate. The casualness of it undercuts the tension in the best way possible. And Cheng Lin's dialogue with Jiang Yi? The fake sweetness is so well written. "Darling, H City had a heavy downpour today—it was terrifying!" vs. "Okay, cover yourself with the blanket. Good afternoon, baby." She's performing affection with the precision of a stage actor. But then she drops the act completely with the system—"did something happen to Jiang Yi in B City? Why would he accept his father's help to protect me but not return himself?" That shift from sweet girlfriend to suspicious survivor in one sentence is incredible voice work. Shen Yu's dialogue is equally telling. His tone is described as "as natural as a senior casually checking in on a junior" but the narration immediately undercuts it: "cutting off that false tenderness on the other end." The author doesn't even need Shen Yu to say anything particularly sinister—his ordinary, warm senior voice is MORE unsettling because we know Cheng Lin sees through it. The Uncle Si conversation is interesting too. She doesn't waste words. "Uncle Si, I have reliable information. Within two days, a massive natural disaster will strike—the apocalypse is coming." Direct. No preamble. She's learned from her past life that people don't have time for explanations. The dialogue here is functional, efficient, and it reveals everything about who Cheng Lin has become.
I have to talk about the visual of Cen Wu finding out her desk has been turned into a barbecue grill. The reinforced tabletop reduced to "several steel bars." That is such a specific, vivid detail that tells you everything about the world these kids are in. This isn't just some prank with permanent marker. Someone took the time to physically dismantle a reinforced desk and rebuild it as a grill. The level of malice and resources required for that is wild. And then Cen Yuxing's chair situation — someone smeared something on it that made his pants stick and go damp. The fact that the narrative just casually mentions this without over-explaining it is brilliant. We know enough. Glue or some adhesive. The boy sitting beside Lu You grinned maliciously. The worldbuilding here is doing so much heavy lifting through these small details. The classroom itself is fascinating. Students of different ages lumped together because they recently awakened their Innate Abilities. The youngest around Cen Wu's age, the oldest seventeen. So you've got this weird hierarchy where the oldest kid rules like a tyrant and the younger ones are just trying to survive. The wind ability user being the oldest and tallest and using that to bully everyone is such a classic power dynamic. The principal's office scene is also incredibly vivid — the way the principal is sweating profusely, the parent yanking Cen Wu's hair, Cen Yuxing desperately trying to pull his sister down from midair while holding her ankle. It's chaotic and kinetic and you can see every frame of it. And then the reveal that the number Cen Yuxing gave was actually the Base Chief's number? The principal's face when he realizes he's been playing with fire this whole time? Cinematic.
Okay, I need to talk about this scene where Xu Huai'an shows up with that strawberry cake. I literally screamed when I read it. The way Xie Wenxing's whole world just... stops. His heart going thump thump thump thump. And Xu Huai'an just casually shoving the bag into his arms like it's no big deal, when clearly it IS a big deal. The author wrote: "A gift." Just two words. That's it. Two words and my entire being was destroyed. But here's what really got me — the jealousy. Xie Wenxing seeing Xu Huai'an waiting for someone, thinking it's for Zhou Yuan or Luo Yinyin or Chen Yun, and he's just standing there in this heavy gloom tasting the bitterness of first love. I felt that. I actually felt it in my chest. And then the reversal — it's for HIM. The little rabbit who followed him, who took his pen, who was panicking all night — it's for him. And then the wrist grab. Oh my god. Xie Wenxing just blurting out his name like he's trying to drill it into Xu Huai'an's skull. "It's Xie Wenxing!" And Xu Huai'an's ears turning red. The power dynamic is SO interesting here — everyone thinks Xu Huai'an is the cold one in control, but really Xie Wenxing is the one losing his mind over every tiny interaction. That's the real emotional core of this thing.
I need to talk about Xiao Fuguang's emotional arc in this chapter because WOW. The woman went from being the overlooked, scolded daughter-in-law to the person holding all the cards, and the transformation is incredibly satisfying to watch. Remember how she walked in looking pale and cold? No makeup, just frostiness? That's not grief—that's someone who has already made up her mind. And then when she starts crying over the letter, you wonder for a second if she's really heartbroken or if she's performing. But here's the thing—the author makes it ambiguous on purpose, and that's what makes it so good. When she reads out the letter's contents word by word, her voice is "choked with sobs yet ringing with unmistakable clarity." That contrast tells you everything. She's not just exposing them—she's reclaiming her own narrative. And Zhuang Linan! The woman who deceived everyone in the previous life, now reduced to desperate denials. Her line about "a woman's reputation being more important than anything" while she's literally the one who destroyed someone else's reputation—irony so thick you could cut it with a knife. The moment that hit me the hardest was Xiao Fuguang saying "I once believed that although we spent little time together, our feelings were sincere and pure. I never imagined you harbored such filthy thoughts in your heart." Whether she's talking about Gu Chuan or about herself, it lands like a punch. This chapter is basically a masterclass in emotional reversal.
The story is exciting and full of mystery and fun! The school setting mixed with action keeps me hooked. We need more chapters—I can't wait! Keep it up!

hey ,I should be first fan of my own novel?
Story is well written, and has quite a bit of future potential. Just remember this though, if you yourself, enjoy writing your stories, then that is the one thing that should matter the most more then anything else. Sometimes, it is not about any sort of money or payment, but should in fact, always be about enjoying sharing your work with your viewers and fans. And that, should always take priority, because if your fans and viewers enjoy reading your work, as well as potential future generations, then that is the one thing, that should matter more to you then anything else. For you see, people are more concerned in living in the here and now. While people me, we like to have a more, long game in mind. Now, don't take this as some sort of negative by any means, I am just saying, that if we want future generations to enjoy this world, then we have to be willing to protect what we love, in an effort to do our best to better our future.
