PilinyTheYounger
It wasn't as impressive as everyone claimed. I concur that the main character appeared quite psychopathic, maintaining an eerily calm demeanor amidst everything, lacking empathy. He could effortlessly manipulate his emotions, knowing precisely when and how to present them, unlike an average person who would instinctively express their feelings without analyzing. His revenge plan didn't sit well with me either; I believe death is too easy a solution. I prefer a slow, torturous process that leaves the victim lingering between life and death, turning their own existence into a form of mercy rather than punishment. I craved a confrontational scene, wanting to witness the reactions of the cheaters when their actions were laid bare before the world. Would they repent, or remain despicable?
Unfortunately, none of that transpired. Additionally, the plan had its flaws. A spoiler: The murder clearly occurred within the room, and the locks were outside, suggesting an accomplice if the childhood sweetheart's alibi was genuine. This undermined the assumption that only two people were at the villa. Fingerprint analysis on the lock should have been considered. Despite having a knife, the autopsy revealed the victim died from drug C, not cannibalism. Yet, no one delved deeper into who supplied the drug. The protagonist's explanation to shift blame onto himself was flimsy – if forced, wouldn't he prioritize severing ties with the victim to avoid inheriting his assets? Why risk it if all he wanted was to be with his "true love" freely? And how does his supposed forced captivity align with the video from the movie's fourth promotional event, which portrayed the childhood sweetheart as eager and promiscuous? It raises questions about the legality of their relationship.
While I'm not opposed to graphic content, this storyline lacks coherence, leaving me bemused. If you're content with going along with it without thinking too much, you might enjoy it, but for me, it falls short.
"Affinity: Chaos" is a captivating read that masterfully weaves a tapestry of intrigue and unpredictability. The author's skill in creating a chaotic yet alluring atmosphere kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. The author deftly portrays the inner turmoil of the main character, encouraging readers to reflect on their own values and priorities.
Through its compelling characters and thought-provoking themes, "The Rich Man" challenges societal norms and prompts introspection. This timeless tale resonates with readers, leaving them with a profound understanding of the human spirit and the enduring quest for meaning in an ever-changing world.
That's how I felt
When I finished the novel I felt disappointed
Definitely not a bad book. P*ss*d about the ending a little bit but it was cool. Author-nim did a pretty good job at translating as best as he could, though the inconsistencies were a bit annoying…
Every fucking idiot is calling the mc "brat or "kid" even his schoolmates wtf??? Very hard triggered and i want to drop intstantly because i can imagine that after 100 chapter he will be called 32x brat... because only after about 25 chapter he got already called more than 8x "brat"...
This novel is one of the best on this site, comparable to legends such as SS and LotM. The worldbuilding is top notch, and the action scenes are to die for, they are extremely vivid and gory, so be warned! For the first two hundred or so chapters, the mc is somewhat naïve and edgy, typical for a fifteen/sixteen year old irl. The power system is somewhat complex, as there is no actual system, in essence, power is unlocked through life or death situations. The novel is set in a post-apocalyptic world so be prepared for some dark fantasy elements. Other than that, I couldn't recommend this novel more, it is one of the best on this site!
Thank you for the update

He doesn't need to marry maybe that's why
I like a competent FL who doesn't feel like a burden
Well thats a thing in most of the world all countries have at least one country that if they dont hate they dislike at least and tbh i think the hate between countries is less than it used to be but that can change sadly ?
