Okay so this section is absolutely packed with plot turns and I need to talk about it because the grandmother's scene in the hospital is genuinely one of the most satisfying moments in the whole novel. Let me set the scene: Jiang Mingyue goes to visit the old lady, and immediately Lin Jinghua and Luo Zhizhi start tearing into her like she's done something unforgivable. Classic toxic family energy, right? But then—plot twist—the grandmother flips the script entirely. She calls out both of them and basically says Jiang Mingyue is the only one who actually takes care of her. The line where she says 'I'm not senile yet. Only Mingyue is really good to me' hit me so hard. This is the first time the matriarch has publicly chosen Jiang Mingyue over her own blood relatives, and it completely recontextualizes the family power dynamic. Then you have the car accident with Zhan Hanxiao, which is a major plot catalyst. Jiang Mingyue gets hit by his car, and this mysterious, intimidating businessman appears in her life. The author drops his name—Zhan Hanxiao, Dongcheng Building Materials Co., Ltd.—and immediately has him order a background check on her. That's a hook. That's the author saying 'pay attention to this guy, he matters.' And then Luo Mingzhong shows up at her parents' house to bring her back, and she flat-out refuses, saying she'll return tomorrow morning. The divorce is now fully in motion and there's no going back. The plot is moving at a breakneck pace and I'm here for it.
This is the part where I need to talk about how the author builds suspense without any actual danger happening. Huaian is in the forest, military instincts on high alert, and you're sitting there thinking 'something is about to go wrong.' Then it turns out to be his wife. The relief is immediate but the author doesn't let you relax—now you're worried about what else could go wrong in those mountains. And then the wild boar incident happens, which is both funny and slightly unsettling. Who or what is causing these animals to run into trees? The author leaves it deliberately ambiguous, and that ambiguity is what makes it work. It's not a threat, but it's not explained either, so there's this low-level tension that never fully goes away. The wedding eve conflict is different but equally effective. Huaian being forced to sleep in the woodshed while his mother literally keeps watch—that's domestic comedy but underneath it, there's real stakes. If he gets caught, if something goes wrong, it could damage his relationship with his mother-in-law figure. And then the whole Huaiguo subplot adds another layer: what happens if the eldest brother actually divorces? What does that mean for the family? The stakes aren't life-or-death, but they feel real because the author makes you care about these people. By the time the wedding day arrives, all that built-up tension releases into pure joy, and it hits so much harder because of it.
Started off with an eerily bang the Storyteller is so intriguing and the first chapter is everything. I feel bad for Ezra thought we're not entirely sure what he went through. Oberyn is such a cute little guy and i'm hoping for the best for this pair in this unknown 'earth'There's magic and seems to be different creatures. I wonder what fate has in store for them. The writing is easy to follow and so funny too with the interactions. Keep it up Author!
⚠️Trigger warning . If you cant accept abuse this story is not for you.. Abusive ML (I think according to the plot his the one) who thinks it's cool to teach the FL a lesson by watching her nearly being r*ped? He treats her less than a pet.
This book is awesome from the start and tho there are a lil bit of inconsistency, the author may improve a lot soon.
A thrilling novel full of mystery. I've read the first two chapters, and I'm already eager for more. While the descriptions are somewhat weak, the strong dialogues and smooth flow of events more than make up for it.
Great story stability, I am enying the first few chapter. Keep it up , this kind of work should be contracted.
Shameless Author here!!!Alright, so I figured I'd take a moment to talk about my own novel—because, well, who else is gonna? This book isn’t gonna change your life, but it’s definitely got something going for it. If you’re into dark fantasy, with all the grit, blood, and morally gray characters, then Breaking Will of Eternity might just grab you by the throat.Go ahead, read it—or don’t. It’s your call. But just know, if you do, you're diving into a world that doesn't play nice. No hand-holding, no easy wins. Just survival.Peace Out fellas✌
This novel kind of reminds me of the old books' style of writing—everything feels rushed. The concept is great, the story is great, and the idea is amazing. The family relationships are fine, and I dislike heartless MCs, but why, just why, is it so fast-paced? Give us time to see other people's reactions and developments. You have Fang Ming and Mr. Brown creating the most advanced rifle of the time—cool, even perfect—but then, suddenly, contracts are secured, and many are sold just like that? Come on! Where are the generals' reactions? Where are the soldiers praising it? Everything happens so fast it's hard to keep up. Reading this feels like a detective novel where you have to stay completely focused, or you'll be lost entirely.
This story is the most amazing story ive ever read. I beg of you Isaiah, please make more. WE NEED MORE OF YOUR STORY. I swear your book can win the 50k.
