"Oh, I haven't checked."
Tian Meng felt very happy that everything was going so smoothly.
Okay so let me just say this out loud because I need to: Jia Xu is the most unexpectedly wholesome transmigrator ever and I am HERE for it. On the surface, this whole arc is pure political chess. Jia Xu is mapping out the submission-rebellion-submission cycle with Cao Cao like it's some grand strategy game. He's analyzing Cao Cao's psychology like a madman — the suspicion buff, the talent-collecting hobby, the whole thing. Very Jia Xu. Very cold, calculated, future-historian energy. But then. Then he starts thinking about Zhang Xiu's young aunt. Not as a political liability. Not as a pawn in the Cao Cao game. As a person. Someone who treated him like a human being instead of a useful tool. And suddenly the entire "friction incident" from history isn't a historical footnote anymore — it's something that could actually HAPPEN to someone he cares about. The text says: "Jia Xu's feelings toward her had long since moved beyond the single line of dialogue he remembered from history." That's it. That one sentence wrecked me. He's been here eight months. Eight months of being treated like a person by someone who had every reason to treat him like a servant. And now he's sitting at a military review, mentally drafting rebellion justifications to protect her. This is the character I didn't know I needed. The schemer who schemes because he actually gives a damn.
Once I was inside, Mac was still sound asleep on the bed, I smiled and softly rubbed her shoulder. She stirred awake and jumped slightly then calmed once she saw it was me. I squat beside her, "Hey I'm back. There's food, go eat. I also was able to grab clothes. I'm going to take a shower." She nods small and gets up, yawning. I get in the bathroom, calling TJ back. "Don't hang up on me again." I could tell she was frustrated. "Sorry baby, I'm at the motel and I'm not here alone." I could practically hear the growl.
"aa.. aaare you will leave from here? "
Six months have passed since Trix broke up with Rafael. The first couple of weeks were rough; Trix felt like she'd entered a new universe, one of eternal coldness, where the land was covered with frozen tears.
His thoughts were suddenly interrupted as numerous Onmitsukido members appeared around him,
