"A line of warmth flowed down his nose, which he quickly wiped away." — I AM NOT OKAY. This man saw her in a spaghetti-strap nightdress under moonlight and his entire body just short-circuited. The author wrote: "His entire body grew hotter, muscles tense, veins bulging. He dared not stay any longer. With stiff steps, he fled in a hurry..." AND THEN LATER THAT NIGHT he's lying in bed going "Mm… Qingqing..." I literally screamed. The dream sequence at the end where she's being chased by a wolf that turns into Yan Xiao? That's not even subtle, that's the author just YELLING at us. But here's what got me — the whole section with Tang Lingling. She notices Yan Xiao staring at Wen Qinghe like she's going to disappear, and instead of pushing things forward, she deliberately stays quiet. "That man liked silently giving without expecting return, so let him do so. At least Wen Qinghe wouldn't be the one to suffer a loss." This girl is protecting her friend from a boy who can't even look at her without losing his mind. The emotional layers here are insane. Yan Xiao's restraint, Tang Lingling's quiet loyalty, Wen Qinghe's complete obliviousness — it's a triangle of tension that's going to explode sooner or later.
A slice-of-life story... with a twist! The charas are well-developed, and each of them shows their unique traits.Just in case if readers are confused, there'll be some scenes in different POV. That'll explain the 'repetitive' phase due to them being on the same page, but different point of views. And the more you read it, the more funnier this one persona is.You'll see in the middle of the story. And a brief of dramatic approach behind the past or the scene, makes us really want to embrace each of the charas. Overall, good work author. ?
That story had such a unique and captivating voice—it felt like every word was carefully chosen to draw the reader in and leave a lasting impression. The way it wove emotion and imagery together was truly memorable!
Rating myself, yes because I can. I know the requirements of review length is 150 characters. So I am writing lol and lol. Is this much enough?
It was beautiful the character design the author detailed world background description the update is kinda slow but I gave 5 because the author always give us more than 1 chapter
I love this book. Full of mystery and thrill, a good and romantic thrill. It's not your ordinary love story but an exciting one. I am excited to see how things will unfold for Layla. Waiting for more chapters!
Shamelessly giving myself five stars......
just like it. although the story is cliche...
Thanks for 100 Chapters ....
as a daoist of culture, I want to say just one thing about this story
if you're looking for something exciting and immersive like shadow slave this is it. I love the world and the characters. the system is comprehensive and easy to understand. keep writing author good job!
These latest chapters have actually been insanely good. I feel the author is finally getting in their groove in terms of writing. The backstories are phenomenal and mixing the sections of backstories with the theme of each chapter that leads to the overall outcome of the fight. And it wasn't even a fight between the MC and somebody else, but two side characters. Anyways, I highly recommend this. This is actually an incredibly written masterpiece and don't get turned off by the few chapters as towards the later chapters, each one is like 3000 words from what I can tell. They're really long. So, definitely recommend. 9.2/10
