This story scratched an Itch I did not know I had. Not only does it give you a looting system for bodies instead of random stuff just popping out of thin air, but it also gives you relatable skills. Nurses heal. Thugs steal. And zombie eat. I look forward to seeing more.

...What should I say? I was a bit fearful of this book judging by its title. But, after reading it...ugh. The sense of realism in this book is blinding. And, the way the author writes this makes me feel as if I am living the life of the MC. A harsh life as a trash collector whose dream is to become rich. Man, the scene where he slides off the pile of garbage for enjoyment almost made me cry. I don't know man...this book is really well written that makes me not want to read more. Haah, my mood has become horrible.I don't want to read this further, but I already fell into the trap of this book and am hoodwinked by it. I don't want to read it but I am reading it.THIS IS WAYYYY TOOO REALISTIC!!!!!!!

Sooo... Where do I begin? (First-ever review) If you haven't begun to read it, then you should! Although still in its infancy stage, it holds a lot of potential.I assume you all were attracted by the idea of a non-human protagonist and had a look at the synopsis, so I doubt I need to explain what it is about. The writing quality: at the time I am writing this, I am at Chapter 31, which shifts between present and past tense, which may deter you guys, but trust me, the author is trying their best! Other than that, nothing big has been able to break my immersion.Stability of Updates: I believe that the author has released a chapter or two every single day and will rarely take a break from it.Now for the last three! Story development: The story itself is still in the early stages, so there isn't much to write about currently, so no perfect 5 stars!Character design: Currently, John (MC) is still somewhat of a cub/child, so he has no overall big designs, but his current design is pretty cool, in my opinion!World Background: Kind of the same for this character in that not much has been told to us about it, even though it is pretty cool so far. So, while the world is still in its early stages and can be moulded by its readers, I suggest you go read it and give some ideas to our beloved author!Overall! A 4.2 for me as of Chapter 31 (most likely a 5-star once the story progresses a little more!) I fully recommend it!

The pacing could need some work, and the genre should be magic realism (urban) ?putting the themes and realist settings. Otherwise, the novel is well written, it's just needs a little humor or dark element, to me?

This is evidently a new writer, but the enthusiasm shown in this work is remarkabe. Each chapter is meant to capture the readers attention. Unlike other books i have read this one seeems to capture the normalcy of the human mind and relate on a personal level.
