Hanna, a college student from a middle-class family, returns home to find their lives turned upside down. Her father’s debt to a ruthless loan shark has left them unable to pay, and when the loan shark notices Hanna, he comes up with a sinister plan. He contacts his boss, who offers Hanna's family a cruel choice: pay back $5 million or have Hanna marry him. Forced to protect her family, Hanna reluctantly agrees, fearing the worst.
