The novel provided a generally enjoyable reading experience, with well-developed world-building and relatable characters. The MC's unique ability to equip skill orbs was an interesting concept, but it served mainly as an explanation and didn't dominate the plot after a certain point.

However, there were a few aspects that detracted from the story. Firstly, the MC often found themselves thrust into new situations due to external forces, lacking agency, which made for a somewhat predictable narrative progression. Secondly, the MC's party consistently spared "bad" individuals, even if it led to immediate complications, which became repetitive and occasionally frustrating, as most "villains" turned out to be misunderstood or had valid reasons for their actions.

Lastly, the romance subplot left me unimpressed. Despite the harem genre and multiple potential love interests, the MC chose to pursue a childhood sweetheart who was just ten years old at the time of their initial meeting. Their relationship progressed at an unrealistic pace, with long gaps between visits and a four-year separation before marriage. It seemed implausible and not a healthy foundation for a romantic storyline.

In summary, while the novel had its strengths, these shortcomings hindered the overall enjoyment for me.

It's actually a delightful novel. The protagonist exhibits remarkable strength in not lashing out at his circumstances or retaliating with hate. He is more composed and mature than many readers who would give low ratings, like one or two stars. People can indeed crumble under immense injustice, but some persevere, focusing on the silver lining and maintaining their integrity, choosing not to dwell on negativity and instead channel their energy into meaningful pursuits.

Regarding the plot twist where he chooses the earl's daughter over the elf they shared a challenging time with, despite the latter's potential longevity, it's a sigh-worthy decision. Sometimes, these kinds of choices lead to unexpected outcomes.

Honestly, the world-building is commendable, and the plot progression shows the author's growth as a writer. It's neither extraordinary nor terrible - I was able to finish it in two days without stopping (definitely worth the read). The story isn't one to blow your mind, especially if you've come across similar narratives before.

I would recommend it, primarily because I found the characters engaging,尽管主角不怎么浪漫(有点儿迟钝但讨人喜欢)。

This is a novel where the author contrives unsatisfactory reasons for the protagonist to distance themselves from the female leads. Initially, it might be acceptable in the second storyline arc, but as the pattern repeats in each subsequent arc, it becomes increasingly lame and illogical.

The narrative has been quite engaging so far, with well-reasoned surprises that add depth to the story. Although the main character (MC) appears to be a standard isekai protagonist at first glance, their development is evident through the chapters. They might be a bit slow to grasp certain situations, but that's preferable to being overly susceptible. The story doesn't shy away from action, and the power level progression remains consistent. Despite being overpowered, the MC's abilities have been earned through hard work, as demonstrated by the scene where they dedicatedly practiced without relying on their primary skill orb. Overall, I would recommend this tale; it's an enjoyable read.

If you can overlook the main character's slightly "selfless" nature, this novel is decent. The first arc might be a bit weak, but it seems to improve in the second one. I appreciate the growth of supporting characters and the intricate world-building. However, I find the protagonist's constant goodness and concern for others excessive, given his traumatic past – being betrayed by his own family, sold into slavery, and subjected to brainwashing and grueling labor. It feels like there should be more emotional depth, but the character's resilience borders on being unbelievable. It's unclear whether the author intended for him to remain so unaffected or if they're relying on dramatic moments only to abandon them later when they're no longer needed.

The storytelling is solid, with a well-structured plot that avoids unnecessary chaos. The world-building complements the narrative as it unfolds, and尽管角色发展相对较慢,但人物塑造相当到位。

It's decent, with Volume 2 marking an improvement over the first, which can be quite dull. The first volume suffers from a weak main character, lack of direction, and sluggish pacing. Volume 2 shines in these areas.

In terms of writing and grammar, it's typical for a translated Eastern novel, so don't expect literary brilliance. The translations by Light Novels Translations are much better than those on Foxaholic. For casual readers from Novel Updates, the writing is passable and won't distract too much.

Characters-wise, the second volume introduces more well-rounded and distinct characters with more realistic behavior. The first volume's characters felt overly idealized and convenient, leaving me uninterested. Only a couple stood out.

The harem aspect is minimal for now, as the main character is still young. There seem to be two potential candidates, but the focus isn't on romantic entanglements. Given the author's previous work, we might see a similar setup here, with the MC having one main love interest while surrounded by women who admire him. However, this is yet to be confirmed.

The initial two volumes were entertaining, but my opinion turned sour with the third one, as it seemed dull and drained the energy from the narrative. The story started off平凡, gradually gaining strength, and its underlying reasoning was commendable. However, the inclusion of a reincarnation plot with retained memories felt gratuitous – a pet peeve of mine when a backstory isn't integral to character development but used solely for progression.

Characters' growth is crucial, and I prefer witnessing their struggles and personal growth over having it rushed due to past-life knowledge. Although I'll proceed to Volume 4, I'm apprehensive about the direction the story might take.

If you enjoy fantasy series with action-packed elements, you might find this book enjoyable. Despite giving it three stars for the engaging first two volumes, the unnecessary reincarnation and平淡 third volume deduct two stars from my rating.

A minor issue is the underutilization of the original protagonist after the initial chapters. She appears intriguing, yet her involvement diminishes significantly. A few chapters from her perspective could have enriched the story.

In summary, while the first half offered entertainment, the book's shortcomings in pacing and character development led to a less satisfying experience for me.

Foxaholic was highly addictive, with each chapter improving upon the last. The protagonist, a 10-year-old, acquires an incredible ability that requires genuine learning to master. The narrative unfolds at a steady pace, avoiding hurried pacing or forced plot contrivances. The author skillfully balances the main character's power, allowing the story to evolve naturally.

There may be moments where readers might not align with the MC's decisions, but that's a natural part of character development and growth. Lightnovelstranslations has chosen a strong title and is likely to deliver a fantastic translation, as they consistently do.

I initially anticipated a typical isekai tale, but this turned out to be a genuine treasure. Although the first arc does progress at a slower pace, every scene is purposeful, contributing to character development or setting up future events. The groundwork for an intriguing plot, like the protagonist's search for his escaped 'big sister' Larc with her powerful 6-star orb, and delivering his late mentor's message, keeps readers engaged even after two arcs. The characters he encounters on his journey feel authentic, each with their unique backgrounds and motivations, avoiding the trope of one-dimensional characters.

The main character starts off as a vulnerable 10-year-old runaway slave, abused by his family and forced into the mines for survival. This realism adds depth to his character, and his eventual breakdown when finding safety showcases his emotional fragility. The first arc focuses on his survival and repayment of a debt, which leads to strong bonds with his rescuers. While there isn't a clear villain, the arc emphasizes resilience and relationship building, culminating in an action-packed finale.

As the story shifts four years later into the second arc, the protagonist begins to actively pursue the plot threads initiated in the first arc. I'm eager to see how this narrative unfolds. Thank you for the translation; it's always appreciated.

It's hard to believe that this novel was written by the same author as "Rule Breaker," and it claims to belong to the same "franchise," though the underlying concepts don't align and it defies logic to think they share a universe. If "Rule Breaker" was intended as a rough draft, perhaps the author experienced some kind of creative setback after finishing (so far) that previous work, resulting in this novel that lacks any progression or improvement. Another theory is that there was a disagreement between the author and their ghostwriter towards the end of "Rule Breaker," leading to an abrupt conclusion. The author, overly confident and ungrateful to their unseen collaborator, seems to have intentionally crafted a poorly received novel as a response.

I won't repeat the criticisms mentioned by other reviewers, but suffice it to say, anything that made "Rule Breaker" enjoyable is conspicuously absent from this disappointment.
