I'm still at the kamila's arc but I think I'm getting missed feelings about the never despite the fact that I love it... I prefer the cold not loving and calculating Lith from the first 100 chapters...but what happened to Solus. are you on discord

I arrived at this through Malicious Empress, and I must say I wasn't disappointed. I appreciated the distinct differences between the two novels. Both main characters, Male Lead (ML) and Female Lead (FL), are intelligent and thoughtful, but what stood out to me was their shared desire for revenge against past wrongs, which beautifully intertwined their stories. Given how much I enjoyed this one, I plan on exploring more of the author's works. The romance in this book had a slower buildup compared to Malicious Empress, so potential readers should be aware. Despite the slower pace, I found it highly satisfying, and the time frame was notably shorter – around two years, unlike the four-year duration of the previous book. Overall, it was a worthwhile read.

The narrative starts off intriguing and enjoyable, but unfortunately, it loses its momentum around the midpoint. The primary issue lies in the relationship between the main character (MC) and the male lead (ML). Their romantic development feels rushed and forced, which takes away from the overall story's appeal. After the MC exacts revenge on her stepmother, the subsequent revenge plot largely revolves around the ML's assistance, leaving the MC's agency somewhat diminished. Post-revenge, the MC becomes less prominent in the narrative, and I would have preferred to see more focus on her accomplishments rather than extensive descriptions of the ML's attractiveness.
