Wow!! This is such an amazing novel!!
I want to say first, for this review, that this is a VERY plot-heavy novel. Like, SUPER plot-heavy. I had to take some breaks while reading it because I can only handle so much dense plot in a single day, lol.
But that doesn’t mean the story is bad, of course; it just depends on what kind of story you’re looking for. Personally, the attributes I’d give this novel are ACTION, INTRIGUE, and DECEPTION.
Super fun! The plot is a roller coaster, but it all adds up in a very logical way! There aren’t any plot holes at all, and the author carefully lays everything out step by step.
I really love how, despite the MC being very powerful, the story and plot still make it so that he has to use every bit of that power to survive. So, there’s never a point in the story where it seems like he is powerful just for the sake of being powerful—it all serves a purpose!
I love the slow progression of the romance, too.
**Spoiler**
The romance doesn’t really kick off until the MC tells the ML the truth, which is about midway through the story. After that, the ML gets to know the real MC and not the act he puts on, and they make slow but steady progress.

Funnily enough, the only "loose end" in this story is that the MC has never told the ML he hates sweets. At least, not in the main story. I haven’t read the extras yet, so I don’t know if it happens there, but I like to imagine the ML’s expression when he finds out, lol.
**[collapse]**
Despite the romance having a slow progression, everyone is so busy with the plot, which just never rests, that there are very few moments where you wish the romance would have more of an impact. In the first place, this isn’t a story you should read if you’re looking for something with a bigger emphasis on romance than plot.
The romance is still very satisfying, especially by the end!
**Spoiler**
The MC is always so busy with the plot that he doesn’t have time to think about romance or feelings. But towards the end of the story, after the ML confesses, he begins to think about it and doesn’t spend any time on denial like "No! I can’t like him!" or whatever. He is just confused since he never liked anyone before. So, when he comes to a decision, he tells the ML right away. It’s very refreshing compared to some other stories that always waffle back and forth between whether they like the ML or not or whether they should say something or not.

, it’s a fantastic story! Highly recommend!
